I am twenty-seven years old, just married to the love of my life and best friend on June 5, 2007! We have a three year old son that is my world. He is into stickers, Spiderman, Batman, the Backyardigans, dinosaurs, and all things train and truck. I have two dogs, an australian shepherd named hank and a lhasa apso named phoenix. The dogs are two of the biggest jerks i know, but i love 'em anyway. I have one cat named edgar. He is not a jerk. He's actually quite polite. the only other female in my house is a guinea pig my son named Dirty. She's alright. I like photography and apreciate simple things, finding shapes in the clouds, thunder storms, i love seeing rainbows. i love when the sky is grey and the sun is setting, so everything on the ground is extra bright (trees, grass, just everything).
i'm a people watcher. i enjoy making up backstories for strangers that entertain me.
my son's smile brightens everything. he amazes me all the time.
I'm not a "girly" girl.
I'm NOT easily offended.
i think "your face" is a hilarious comeback.
I know people say this all the time, but i do like all kinds of music. Some of my favorites, in no particular order are: Ryan Adams, Modest Mouse, NIN, Queens of the Stone Age, the Toadies, Ani Difranco, The Beatles, really all classic rock (the Doors, Zeppelin, CCR, the Stones, etc.) Jeff Buckley, Amy Winehouse, Lois Armstrong, Billie Holiday, the Beastie Boys, Dusty Springfield, the White Stripes, Johnny Cash, Chamberlain, Van Morrison, Ben Lee, Otis Redding, Al Green, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, the Clash, the Ramones, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Moldy Peaches, Cake, the Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Stone Temple Pilots, Fleet Foxes, the pixies, the Violent Femmes, Velvet Underground, Stephen Malkmus, oh man i could go on forever, but I won't. The only thing i'm really not into is new country. . .i'd prefer Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, or old bluegrass instead.
side note: i LOVE vinyl. if you do too, let me know, maybe (just maybe) we can set up a swap or somethin.
I love reading. My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. The man was a genius. Anything by Bukowski, The Lord of the Rings, the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, Jose Saramago, Chuck Palhniuk, George Orwell, Many others, i'm always looking for a new book to get into, i generally like satire, dark humor, a little sci-fi, some poetry, pretty much anything that's NOT romance novels. I love books you can get lost in, or books that stick with you long after you close the cover.
If you have something you think i'd dig, let me know...we can work out a trade, or at least just tell the name of it so i can find it...i'm DYING for a new book.
The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou, and everything else by the Coen Brothers, Shaun of the Dead, Monty Python (quotes from those movies alone make up most of my vocabulary), The Jerk, John Waters movies,The Royal Tenenbaums, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Tommy Boy, Happy Gilmore, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, American Movie, Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Most things Johnny Depp is in (although i wasn't the biggest fan of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), I love anything that makes me laugh, cry, or think--bonus points for all three ;o)
House, Law and Order SVU, the Simpsons, Family Guy, Chappelle's Show. Also love kids shows that were on when i was little (old TMNT, Captain Planet, Smurfs, etc.)and little things that bring that back put a smile on my face (figurines, cups/mugs, and the like)
Candy is great! Chewy, hard, sweet, sour, fizzy, i love it all! nerds that aren't just pink and purple are one of my favorites. and lollipops. gotta love lollipops. oh yeah and pop rocks.
I'm a vegetarian, but not the preachy kind, and i still make meat for my husband and son, i figure me telling you not to eat meat is just like you telling me to eat meat, so i just do my thing. (I also DON'T wear any leather or suede, which makes shoe-shopping interesting)
----speaking of shoes and the like, i prefer to be barefoot or just in sandals, so when i have to wear socks i love new ones, pretty much any kind, even just white, (except for those socks that have individual toes and look like gloves--they're just wrong) i just think there's nothing like a brand new pair of socks to start your day--if you MUST wear them :oP
Colors
I like pretty much any shade of orange, blue, and green. earth tones, jewel tones, most colors are a-okay in my book, i just don't really like most shades of purple, and i REALLY DON'T LIKE pastels.
i prefer silver to gold every time.
Scents
I don't like scents that are too over-powering, i prefer light scents, NO perfume, but i love body sprays. Fruity, Light Flower scents, Musky scents are good. My husband's parents own a candle company so I really have no need for more candles
I don't REALLY go out of my way to collect anything, but a few years ago my mom started bringing me a shot glass from everywhere she went and i have found myself stopping to pick them up here and there when i'm somewhere special (like the castle i got married in, and museums we visit, theme parks, and such)
I wouldn't say i collect picture frames, but i'm always on the lookout for nice/different ones, just about any size or material, as i have like a million pictures of my son.
Also, my husband and i both have a habit of bringing home interesting and/or pretty little rocks we find outside, and i tend to buy little rocks shaped like animals when i come across them.
well, i'm just getting into sewing (any tips would be alright with me.... i don't know much in that area) and handmade postcards--thinking about giving shrines a shot, just have to find more time to play around with stuff! i love to receive any crafts people make, especially if it involves something i like.

Thank you very much for the great package of outdoor toys from swappin moms winner takes all!
Your being busy: I thought it was the case ;) Busy here too, studying and running late on swaps. I did make tofu parmigiana yesterday--talk about interesting.
I'm thinking I might ruin the mix swap by giving the following themes:
I'd need some help coming up with the themes nudge nudge
How are finals going? This morning I had an assignment to turn in. I finished & when I went to staple it, I found the first page disappeared. I had to redo the problem. I don't know where the hell the page went. I still haven't found it. Madness!
Thanks for the heads up on the book & CD. I hope you enjoy the CD.
We must continue our brainstormin' for that CD swap we're plannin'. Any ideas on the theme of the CD? Or just favorites?
Welcome To Wild Women!
I hope you enjoy the group. Please send a PM to me if you have any questions or concerns. I’m an online junkie, so I’ll respond to you quickly.

Onto the content of the comment: Frickin' A yo! That is fantastic!! One thing, I had somethin' up me sleeve on a similar project. Photos of nuns are rad, and I'll have to work on that this summer. 'Cause there's nothing like a nun standing next to spotted dick.
