Yes, I think it's the sick feeling of the paper that makes the stamps slide off easily. I checked and the stamp that did stay on was only held on by the tape that wrapped around from the back. c'est la vie.
OH you use food dye? I have always used calligraphy ink since I don't keep food dye around the house. I wonder if that is part of how yours seem so much more vivid than mine. Excellent. Another case of "maybe if I followed the actual directions things would work better".
Thank you for the envelope of odds and ends! Your envelope was truly mystifying before I opened it. It got here on a 39 cent stamp, I mention this because it seems the envelope texture lets loose of things easily. (no worries, I didn't have to pay for it but so you know)
Are the envelope and papers with in marbled using shaving cream?! you got such vivid colors on the rainbow one! Also you must use ladies shaving cream, they don't reek like paper I made using my husband's stuff.
I bet marbling like this would make a really cool envelope book...
Anyhow, thank you very much! (:
Thank you for all the kitties in my May MPU Randomail. They made me very happy. I especially enjoyed the octopus mail art. I will be keeping that forever. Thanks for brightening my day!
