Update 9/8/17: I've been dealing with a nasty cold that has kept me stuck in the house for the past week. A few of the swaps I am in will be going out later than expected for said reason. I am reaching out to you individually to let you know if you will be a affected but I am appreciative of your patience.
Hello ♡ I'm Kat. I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband and our cat, S'mores. I'm originally from Atlanta but having been living here since 2013. I work in the restaurant industry but am going back to school soon to focus on accounting.
I really love reading especially dreamy stories, comics and non-fiction. I've also been reading a lot of poetry recently. Haruki Murakami and Rupi Kaur are my current favorite authors.
I'm really passionate about art, particularly painting and drawing. When I have free time I am generally working on a comic (that hopefully I'll get out of a notebook this year) or a small project with watercolors. I love ceramics, but haven't had the opportunity to work with them very much. It's something I hope to do in the future.
Since I've worked in the restaurant industry for so long I am super passionate about food and love trying new cuisines and dishes and have been learning a lot about wine over the past few years #thumbsupemoji I love cooking and have mastered the art of cooking with a single hot plate and toaster oven combo. (Ah the glamour of a studio apartment)
Other miscellaneous facts: I play a dungeons and dragons campaign with my husband and a few friends. (Warlock halfling is my main pc)
I'm actually a Slytherpuff (tho my sn might suggest differently) and my husband is straight Hufflepuff.
My favorite colors are mustard yellow, darker blues, sage green, and dark grey to black, baby pink, baby blue, glitter
I really like cactus and plant motifs
I'm trying to minimize the stuff in my house (one day I'll finish the Marie Kondo process) so I prefer useful things, edible things, and stuff that actually brings me joy. I tend to pick swaps that reflect that
*Please note: If for some reason, you haven't received your swap from me- please reach out. I'm always happy to resend :) My mail has been a little on the fritz recently, so if for some reason it gets returned to you, just give me a heads up. I always give people the benefit of the doubt, especially when it comes to the USPS. (I have noticed that packages in particular have been marked as 'invalid address' IF it doesn't explicitly say 'apt' before the unit number. So please write the address exactly as written on swapbot. )

I'm really picky about clothes. I really like minimal clothing meets desert vibes aesthetic. I do really like fun socks. My general outfits are just blue jeans, white button downs, and a cardigan. Sorry I'm really boring.
PLEASE NOTE: if I do get anything I'm not fond of, I always pass it on to a home it will be loved in. Many people I know have super different aesthetics from me and love getting surprise gifts

Kat, I am thrilled with two of the Kondo books on your reading log. I got audio versions & absolutely love her theories. I have thrown out stuff and have more to donate. I have been minimizing my home for some time, but she takes it further. I have become quite passionate about what she writes. Thank you so much for sharing. I could go on and on and you know what she says!
