Hi There Well, this is my first time on any type of swapper site, but I'm hoping you will give me a chance. I am 28 years old and I work full-time as a toddler lead teacher (1 and 2 year olds) at a daycare center in Boston. After work I come home to a beautiful set of identical twin girls (most of my swaps are really for them.) They enjoy the "girly" types of art materials (anything with glitter, pastel colors, flowers, butterflies, princesses etc.). I'm not the most artistic person in the world, but I was intrigued by some of the arts and crafts swaps that are listed because I do enjoy attempting to create and I'm always looking for inspiration for activities and projects to do with the children (my own and my students). As I've said, my ability is somewhat limited so I'm reluctant to join any of the home-made swaps as I feel that my partner would be disappointed :( In my spare time I enjoy cooking (every Wednesday night some friends and I take turns creating meals for each other), shopping, attempting crafts, and curling up with my cat and a good book. Thank you in advance for giving me a chance :)
Right now Katy Perry is my favorite, but that is subject to change. I also enjoy the music from Glee. The girls like Kids Bop and similar types of music. They also enjoy "my" music (Katy Perry, Glee, Etc.), Disney soundtracks/remixes, pretty much and "big-kid appropriate" music. They're too old for Raffi but too young for anything too explicit :)
My favorite authors are Jodi Picoult and Mary Higgins Clark. I'm currently re-reading my favorite Mary Higgins Clark book "Two Little Girls in Blue". I rarely read a book more than once so "re-reading" is a very big compliment! My favorite genre of book is mystery or a good ghost story. My daughters are just starting to read on their own. They can work their way through very repetitive simple books. We read together a lot. Their favorite books are 2 anthologies of every Disney movie ever made (thank you, Grandma!). Its actually a really nice set, but each story is very much un-abridged. I can't wait until they can read THOSE on their own!!
I'm a semi-Gleek. I watch Glee pretty much every Tuesday night, though I wont go as far as to reserve my Tuesdays for the show or anything. I dont have any type of cable and really dont watch too many shows every week or every day or however often they come out. Glee is the only one I consciously try to remember to watch, therefore I feel I must list it as my favorite. I also enjoy The New Girl, The Big Bang Theory, and I'm currently catching up on Desperate Housewives with the help of Netflix. The twins dont really watch a whole lot of TV. As I've mentioned, they enjoy Disney princess movies (though they rarely actually watch the whole thing in 1 sitting). They like Curious George and Cailou sometimes, though I think they're out-growing them. Movies or shows with a lot of music keep their attention better.
Oh dear, I talked about my complete lack of skill in the about me section. I can manage most kids crafts, sew a ripped seam or a button, and color in the lines (most of the time). I like stickers, anything with glitter, painting, and just experimenting with different materials. I rarely throw anything away, and would much rather find a use for it. The girls love coloring, gluing, painting, they can use scissers pretty well for their age, but...well....they're 5. Their favorite art projects involve stickers, glitter, and basically just gluing a whole bunch of whatever they can find together! We do a lot of recycled art projects (like piggy banks out of coffee tins or milk carton planters). They like creating those more useful items (banks and planters and stuff) to give as gifts.

Hi! I was checking your profile for a swap that I'll assign partners on tomorrow. Don't worry about the rude comment by @helloyou . This is not the first rating I've seen her give that is rude and thoughtless. I've had her blocked for a while now because of this. I hope you day gets better! =)
For the nice selection of stickers (SwappingHeaven Tag)
