I've been paper crafting for about 4 years now and never know what to do with the things I make since I don't like social media much anymore and don't have time to promote an Etsy shop. I've given things as gifts, I've given nature journals to the cancer center, etc etc. While I was watching different tutorials and kept hearing about swaps, I did some research. I am an avid watcher of crafting videos on YouTube and thought the idea of swapping things with other crafty people sounded like fun! I work in the psychiatric field and am a firm believer in craft therapy, art therapy, happy mail, and anything that promotes emotional health. We need all the positive interactions we can get these days! My dream is to someday sell my house in the suburbs and move outside the city limits to have a little more peace and quiet, a larger garden, and chickens.
Paper crafting, junk journals, mini albums, vintage-style ephemera, watercolor, art journaling, sewing, DIY things for the house and garden I LOVE LOVE the mountains, trees, and anything related!! I usually lean toward a botanical theme - trees, flowers, birds, I love anything BEE related, owls, vintage Girl Scout badges, pins, pictures, cards, etc, and vintage stickers (think 80s!). I also love old postcards, any condition- I specifically collect postcards of bridges but love any that have the vintage linen texture OR have black and white photos on them. I was lucky enough to inherit my great-grandmother's collection from corresponding with her relatives.
Favorites ABC: A - aging paper B - botanical, bees, C - cardstock, collage, colors (not neon) D - die cuts (not crazy about geometric shapes) E - ephemera, envelopes, eggs (not easter) F - flying (birds, butterflies, bees, fairies) G - glassine bags/envelopes, Girl Scouts H - happy mail I - J - journals (junk, art, etc) K - kraft cardstock L - lace M- N- non-religious items O- owls! P- pockets, postcards Q- quotes (inspirational) R- ripped edges S- stickers, stickers, stickers! (The ones I can't use I will give to my grand-daughters) T - tuck spots, thankful U - V - vintage anything W - wings
I am new to Swap-bot, but I ALWAYS ALWAYS mail early. If you haven't received something from me in a reasonable time, PLEASE message me and I will resend it!! I also rate the SAME DAY I receive your swap, so please don't forget to rate me as well. I'm still building up my score! :)
