putting the at sign before someones name (in the forums for instance) will give you a link to their profile. Like mine is @VivaLaDiane .
Using the less than sign will wipe out anything after that (if you use the less than sign and a three to make a heart). To make a ♥, press the alt key and then tap the number 3 and release at the same time (don't hold the 3 down, but do hold the alt key down until you press the 3).
The number sign will make text large and bold. Use it on your profile if you have to, but no one uses it (on purpose) in the forums.
