I live in Calgary, Canada with my husband and our two cats. My 13 year battle with Lyme Disease made me dig further into alternative health fields, and I am a Traditional Chinese Medical Doctor. My own experiences with my health have allowed me to help my clients. Because of my health, I am not always able to be active as much as I would like and swapping, pen palling etc. have become improtant to me. I have been pen palling and collecting postcards for 17 years.

I have a large collection of children's books, in numerous languages. Some are expensive collectors item, some for my own enjoyment.

I like to read anything on Chinese Medicine, alternative health or energy healing. Also for fun I like fantasy books like Neil Gaiman, Twilight, Terry Pratchet, Harry Potter, or those in the same genre. I won't say no to a good novel either.

I am open to almost any music except metal or angry music. I am always looking for something new, like world music, folk music with a twist, or something unique. I am also always looking for new "relaxation" music for my clinic.

Favourite movies are "The Dark Crystal", "The Princess Bride", "Labyrinth", "Harry Potter" series, "LOTR", Pixar movies, "Twilight", and period dramas like "Elizabeth", "The Other Bolen Girl", "Pride and Prejudice", etc. I love every superhero movie that comes out, and own them all.

Favourite TV is "Heroes", "Grey's Anatomy", "Scrubs", "Alias", "Buffy", "Angel" and "Two and a Half Men". "So You Think You Can Dance" is also a favourite in our house.

I like postcards of the following:

-childhood icons or fairy tales -Moomin, Kaj Stenvall, Miffy (Dick Bruna), Jip and Janneke, Rosalie and Truttle,gnomes, trolls, Smurfs, Babar, Tintin, etc. -fantasy (dragons, fairies, unicorns, etc.) -sci-fi/fantasy TV/movie stars (Harry Potter, The Dark Crystal, Buffy, Angel, Labyrinth, Jim Henson, any superheroes, etc.) -bugs -asian theme, especially the Dalai Lama -rainforest -animals (NOT cats, dogs or horses) any local animals especially birds, deer, elk, bears, kangaroos, water animals etc.

I collect used stamps and stickers. I love anything with geckos, frogs and especially dragons.
