Hl,
I've been knitting for years. I used to crochet and embroider also, but now I mostly knit. I love natural fibres. Mostly, I prefer wool but I never have any objection to a bit of nylon or acrylic added to a yarn if there's a good reason for it, I recently purchased some silk hankies at a fibre festival. I understand you can knit directly from them without spinning, but I haven't tried it yet--we'll see how that goes!
Colors--jewel tones, blue-purple-green-ruby colorways are my favorites, I especially love heathered shades. I used to like rust tones years ago more than I do now, judging from the contents of my stash. Just about any weight is fine, although I have never had much luck with real lace weight yarns. I don't mind frogged yarn as long as it's clean and non-smelly!
I'm now working on a baby sweater for a friend and finished a couple of pairs of socks this spring. I just bought some incredible Mini Mochi sock yarn and I'm anxious to start the next pair. I think I'm about over self-striping yarn and I'm starting to explore lace and cables now. It should be an exciting journey!
I have an amazing overflowing stash that dates back many years, so don't be afraid - any de-stashing that comes from me is likely to be pretty interesting stuff. It's all been carefully stored away.
I don't smoke, but I do have cats. I discourage them from interacting with the yarn, but they're usually lurking around somewhere nearby. If you're badly allergic, better let me know.
I'm relatively new to the swap thing, I hate to disappoint people and would never flake out on you. Please rate me if I'm your partner! If there's some problem with what I send, let me know before rating.
