I have a husband. He's cute and kind of geeky. I have a little boy and 2 little girls... though they aren't quite as little anymore. They're rather awesome. I like to listen to CBC and Radio 2. I like to read.
I love poetry and quotes and have interests in languages and linguistics and etymology.
I'm a letter writer, when I take the time.
I like maps and traveling, which I wish I could do more often.
I like hiking, camping and being near water and trees. I like food and growing my own veggies and baking. Sweets will be my downfall one day; I will accept any and all, seriously.
I drink coffee and try to drink more tea. It's good for you, right?.
I knit a lot and love to share it.
Lately: Josh Garrells, Aidan Knight, Dan Mangan, Kathleen Edwards, Stars, Sufijan Steven, A Northern Chorus, Simon & Garfunkle, Mamas and Papas, The Proclaimers, Waterdeep, U2, Barenaked Ladies, Jonathan Inc., North Atlantic Explorers.
Current TV: Corner Gas, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, The Daily Show, The Mercer Report, NCIS, Elementary.
Books - Recent and Old Time Favourites include: The Power of One - The Little Prince - Anything by Madeline L'Engle - What's So Amazing About Grace - The Remains of the Day - LOTR - Harry Potter - Pippi Longstocking - Fugitive Pieces - the poetry of Sue Sinclair.
Collage & Art Journals & Smash Book-like Projects - These days it's been smash-like journals, bullet journals and my plain ol' day planner that tend to get the attention. With that in mind, I appreciate all sorts of papers, ephemera, stickers, images, brads, charms, etc. are great. Black & white items are coveted, but I take it all as there are so many gems out there I didn't know I loved until they arrived.
Knitting - I knit at home, in front of the TV, at the kids' lessons, in church. I use all types of wool and cottons and am working on some stash-busting projects so scrappy bits are useful. Felting is also something I've slowly started to get in to.
Mail Art & Homemade Envelopes. - Envelopes as a canvas.
Ephemera: this is a big one these days. With all the cool stuff out there, you can't go wrong. I'm especially fond of black and white pages of print or images, but gems are found where I least expect it!
Paper & Stationery:
Journals/Notebooks: homemade or store bought
Postcards: Especially local artists, churches, winter scenes, windows, doors, wilderness.
Postage stamps (new Canadian & used)
Homemade envelopes
Writing paper and memo sheets
Maps - new or old, partial or complete.
Poetry
Fine tipped pens and markers
Stickers - I'll take anything since whatever I won't use, my kids will.
Knitting stuff:
TOP WISH: any amount of sock (fingering) weight yarn. Preference for superwash wool and/or wool blends. I'm working on a scrappy blanket, and I'm serious about any amount - just one meter will do even!
Yarn of all sorts, including remnants. Wool and wool blends are particular friends.
Wool roving.
-Stitch markers. Lots and lots of stitch markers.
Eating & Drinking
Coffee (instant packets, though I'll happily take some good roasted beans!), herbal teas, hot chocolate packets
Sweets: from dark chocolate to gummies, (Haribo is awesome!) excepting only liqueur flavours.
Recipes -particularly with whole ingredients
Everything else
Organic or enviro-friendly things. Up-cycled / re-cycled stuff. Making do!
Small things. Miniature things.
Drawstring or zippered pouches/cases, cloth bags
Colours - esp. jeweled and earthy tones

Pendants
Things made from wood
Glass jars/bottles; shiny things.
Moomin, The Little Prince, Belle and Sebastian.
Super wish: Postcards from Madeira. Artist postcards from Maud Lewis, Mary Pratt, Group of Seven.
These are things that I'm not keen on or in any need of: - Kitty Hair - mild allergies. - Green tea bags. - Mary Englbreit and related styles. - Halloween-related items. - Friendship Books, slams, etc.
I tend to enjoy items featuring...
Botanical / Garden / Veggie growing
Woodland - flora and fauna
Birds (including penguins)
Celtic (knots, crosses, etc.)
Stars
I've been amazed, impressed, humbled and inspired with the generousity of fellow swappers and mean to continue sharing the love!
So... I don't flake. I send things out on time and if I don't (by extenuating circumstances) I will ALWAYS let you know. Given that, I'm quite understanding when the tables are turned; just keep me posted.
Sometimes Canada Post is snappy, other times, not so much. Please allow some extra time for travel.
PLEASE let me know if something goes AWOL before rating and I'll do my best to fix the situation.
Be warned: I re-use packaging. :)
