I am a married, 23-year-old college student who loves life, family, friends, and my furbabies. My husband IS my second half (as cheesy and cliche as that is), and we just celebrated our first anniversary together, on May 22, 2011!
We have two furbabies together...a miniature Schnauzer (4) named Sable, and a half chihuahua/half daschund (2) named Brewster. We've had Sable since she was 8 weeks old, and Brewster since the second he was born (in our living room!). I love these furbabies like they were my own kids - I'm overly protective of them, miss them when I'm out of town, and I spoil them terribly!
A few of my absolute favorite things are pink, chocolate, coffee, and school (believe it or not!).
In my down time (which isn't often), I enjoy reading, running, scrapbooking, watching TV/movies, and especially hanging out with friends and family.
I believe in God! He is the reason I have my life, He is the reason my life has purpose. :)
I am a pre-nursing major and I am passionate about a career in Critical Care Nursing.
I have such an eclectic collection of music that I love! I definitely collect movie scores/soundtracks: at this point I have over 50. Depending on my mood, I range anywhere from indie, to hip-hop, to alternative rock or classical piano (just to name a few). A few all-time favorite artists are Kate Havnevik, Linkin Park, Muse, Within Temptation, Breaking Benjamin, and Carrie Underwood. Sometimes I just put my iPod on shuffle and wait for the surprise that plays next! ;)
Anything by Jodi Picoult. She's such an amazing, controversial, thought-provoking, skilled author! My favorite book of hers (so far) is 'My Sister's Keeper'.
I enjoy fiction of all sorts...my usual genre tends to be historical, romance (even better, historical romance!), and Christian fiction. I absolutely love Francine River's "Mark of the Lion" series.
Any book that gives me inspiration or challenges me is also very welcome!
MOULIN ROUGE!, The Notebook, Titanic, Gladiator, My Sister's Keeper, The Blind Side, The Family Stone, Batman: The Dark Knight, Beauty and the Beast, and many, many more. I will usually reach first for a comedy/romance/chick flick, but I occasionally really enjoy a great action or drama. I also really love Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks animated movies.
Grey's Anatomy!! (Best TV show ever!) Private Practice, Friends, Sex & the City, How I Met Your Mother, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
At one point in time I was REALLY into scrapbooking...and I still am, except I just don't have the time to dedicate to it! (College girl, here.) I have over 4,000 pictures sitting in a box ready to be arranged into a scrapbook. I really enjoy using glittery, pink, bubbly, girly mediums in my scrapbooking.
I'm also an avid journalist. I've kept a diary/journal since I was a young girl, and my writings have slowly morphed into blogging. I love words, and I love writing :)
I'm such a girl! :) I LOVE pink! Purple is a close second, and then turquoise.
I love cute, glittery things. Especially pretty, glittery cards. When I get them in the mail they make my heart smile!
I collect Daschund paraphernalia. My baby boy is a mixed breed, but definitely takes on the looks/personality of a duschund most. I heart him!
I LOVE any type of object that resembles makeover or body care. For example...make-up, nail polish, lip gloss, body sprays, body lotion, face masks, etc.
I've just started collecting cute teacups. I only have a few so far, but one day I hope to have a full curio cabinet!
I love heart and peace sign symbols.
I drink coffee almost all day long...black, with cream, with sugar, flavored, non-flavored, cold, hot - it doesn't matter. It's my beverage of choice. I enjoy buying little flavored coffee packets. I used to work for Starbucks, which definitely fueled my love!
Despite my love for coffee, I also enjoy tea - though not to the same degree. I have a couple of different flavors in my cupboards, and I'm always eager to try something new. I drink Green Tea most often.
I am curious about becoming Vegetarian, but I'm always on the run and I don't have much time to cook - I also don't have any good recipes. I am trying to cut down on meat when possible; some days I'm able to go without any (which is amazing, really!)
