I love sending and receiving postcards, zines, and mail art. I started out at postcrossing but moved to this and IUOMA because I wanted to be more creative and have more control than postcrossing allows. Looking forward to sending you something!

My music tastes aren't so unique - American contemporary pop and rock, plus some classic rock and rap. The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Misterwives, Yoke Lore, Maggie Rogers, Glass Animals. Kendrick Lamar and CCR for variety, plus I'll always check out a good recommendation.

My favorite movies are all desert wastelands - Dune (the new ones are better than the old ones, but I like both), and the new Mad Max movies: Fury Road and Furiosa. I've watched Tremors, too, it's like the cowboy version of Dune.

Of course I like the Dune series, although I've only made it through the first 3 so far. Some of the novels I like are The Overstory and Donna Tartt's Secret History. Beyond that, I read a lot of non-fiction, things like biographies and literary analysis of the Classics and Mythology.

The X-Files. I love watching Mulder chase aliens and monsters.

Most weekends (unless I'm out of town) I try to volunteer somewhere. I really like being out in nature so one of my recent projects has been helping clean up an abandoned cemetery here in Philadelphia.
