Festive Greetings to all Good Swappers! :D
Unfortunately I have no reliable computer access at the moment so my swapping activities are on hold :(
Many Thanks to all my previous swap partners, and I hope to get back here soon!
I live in the North of England. I like vegetarian food, recycling, nature, walking, making things, wildlife, birds, animals and plants. Dogs are my favourite pets, but I have been without any pets for nearly a year now and that is sad :(
I love being on Swapbot and really enjoy swapping and sharing crafts with people all over the world! : ) I usually stick to small swaps so the postage is manageable - postcards, small souvenirs, handmade crafts and supplies - like jewellery, crochet squares, ATCs and inchies, dotees etc.
My favourite crafts are jewellery making, crochet, a bit of sewing, cross stitch, papercrafts like cards, ATCs and inchies.I always like to try new crafts - with varying degrees of success : ) I have been trying to improve my knitting skills, I would like to learn how to knit socks but haven't got far yet
Music - rock/ indie /alternative/ electronic, stuff from all eras - I'm always listening to the radio or my ipod and discovering new favourites.
books - sci-fi and fantasy, non-fiction, science, history, biographies and of course craft books!
movies - Casablanca, A Matter of Life and Death, The Commitments, The Railway Children
TV shows: Sci-fi - Dr Who, Firefly, Angel; The West Wing, Northern Exposure, Due South, Arrested Development, Blackadder, Father Ted, Spaced, Black Books, documentaries; Mythbusters
MY FAVOURITE THINGS - a list to help swap partners who like to personalise - Not a list of demands! : )
My fave colours are lime green, olive green, cobalt blue, grey, natural shades.
Bags, purses, zip pouches, totes, re-usable shopping bags - anything to put other things in! : )
Jewellery (swap info) : Preferred metal colour silver, copper, brass, mixed metals. I wear bracelets (7.5" -19cm); earrings - pierced; necklaces -long-ish. I like interesting but simple designs, nothing too big or bright.
I love citrus scents and flavours, green tea and white tea, mint tea (and ordinary tea!) - light fruity things generally. I drink tea a lot, coffee not so much, beer sometimes!
Fave patterns, styles and shapes
1890's-1930's Art Nouveau, PRB, Arts and Crafts, Art Deco, Bloomsbury 1950's abstract, kitschy sci-fi motifs like robots and flying saucers, 60's psychedelia and 70's Glam rock, batiks, paisley and peace-signs, heart shapes, spots and stripes, stylised flowers ; bright jewel-colours on black vintage, recycled and repurposed, miniature, tiny
Natural - I like birds, trees and leaves, textured papers, fabric and yarn, anything to do with Nature and all birds and animals especially ducks, whales, dogs and guinea pigs.
Don't much like: cartoony kids stuff, pastel shades, chintz and toile, girly frilly things, pin-ups, housewife or kitchen themes, aprons, make-up
I collect ducks (models, images, stuffies etc.)
I haven't travelled much, but I love to know about life in different parts of the world - so I'd love to receive a postcard of your hometown or some interesting landmark nearby. fun souvenirs from tourist attractions, e.g. pencils, erasers, squashed pennies! I can't resist a penny-flattening machine and whenever I see one I get a few to swap : )
handmade or drawn things, ATCs, Inchies, Dotees, Squashed pennies, Postcard or photo of your town, some local interesting or natural place.
Craft supplies - any bits of pretty fabric, papers, brads, unusual butttons and beads, yarn and fibres - all much appreciated.
Interesting glass beads/charms/jewellery supplies - anything unusual/ vintage looking or nature inspired, any colours.
I love Postcards with maps, wild coastal views, lighthouses, windmills, ruined castles, ancient sites, mountains, waterfalls etc. Also vintage/ restored railways, trams and boats!
Anything with DUCKS (not hunting please!!)
Lipbalm (minty!)
SWAPPING - I will always send packages, so please let me know if something has not arrived (bear in mind I am in the UK, mail to the USA and further afield can take anything from 5 days to a few weeks!)
As I am in the UK and most of my swaps are international, the rating system is often the only way I know if an item has been received or not - so please don't forget to rate! If there are any problems please contact me before leaving a low rating, I'm sure it could be sorted out. If nothing has arrived after a month from the send-by date, I will gladly re-send (though things have been known to take longer!)
It would help if you could put the name of the swap and your name on your package - and I always appreciate a friendly note :D
I like to put a hand-written note in with my packages (and love to receive them!) - so I apologise for my quite messy handwriting which is hard to read sometimes :)

I love, love, love the pressed pennies from London! You mailed on 8/11 and they arrived on 8/13. My husband likes the Dr. Who penny. The London Dungeon is really cool with the skull. I plan to google this this location. What a fun swap partner you are! I hope we cross paths again.

.....Welcome and enjoy.......
Welcome to European Swappers!
It's nice to 'meet' you! :) I hope you are enjoying your swaps here. It's my first comment swap and I have to say it's a pretty cool idea. Definitely positive incentive to look at other people's profiles. And who doesn't like a nice compliment every once in awhile? hehe :) You sound very friendly and I hope you have fun here! I saw some really cute retro robot prints the other day and your profile made me think of them. Enjoy your day. :)
