Hello,
My name is Julie. It's almost been two years
since I've joined Swap-bot and it's been a really great experience joining the swaps. I love being able to write my letters to my pen-pals but sometimes it's nice to also take a break and do something small like sending someone a post card or some happy mail to brighten their mail box.
I think it's great that the old fashioned letter writing is coming back and people are connecting through it.
I've been married to my husband for 19 years. I'm also a full-time working mom to three minions and our black cat name Rupert that keeps me busy. So once in a while life gets hectic and I might be out of commission for a while. I do let my swap partners and pen-pals know, it's not my intent to send something later but I'm still sending your stuff out.
I love pop music, Korean pop and alternative rock, 80's, 90's music but really I will try to listen to any music and as long as my ears like it, it will probably go on my Spotify play list.
I am really more of fiction reader. Not that I hate non-fiction it's just with my attention span being that of a squirrel, it really needs to grab my attention in order for me to read non-fiction.
I haven't had much time to do any reading but some of the books I've liked are fantasy, fantasy romance, and classics like Jane Austen, Elizabeth Gaskell, Anne of Green Gables, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights. I also like YA books like Hunger Games series, Mortal Instruments and Harry Potter.
The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan which I started reading when I was a sophomore in high school like a 100 years ago now. I'll likely have to like start reading again from the beginning since Amazon came out with a television series.
I enjoy watching action movies, sci-fi, romance and comedy but I'm terrible when it comes to horror or suspense. I'm one of those that tends to watch through their fingers LOL. Some of my favorites are Sleepless in Seattle, all of the Avengers, Star Wars of course, John Wick, James Bond, Die Hard, Lord of the Rings series, Matrix, Bend It Like Beckham, and numerous others..
I'm mostly into paper crafting. I got into paper crafting when I was pregnant with my oldest 12 years ago. I like making small things like cards, tags, using washi tape, stickers and embellishments on my planner, journal, and letters. I've participated in craft fairs as well to make stocking stuffer items for kids and people to buy their teachers and friends during the holidays. Really I'm like a stationary, washitape, planner stickers, stickers addict LOL. I can't help it. There's too many cute things!
I rarely get a chance to watch t.v. nowadays since I'm too busy being mom and doing other projects so it's more like Netflix whenever I can. My poor husband will likely be watching some new show and I'm the annoying pest that keeps asking, what's going on? LOL. Some of my favorite t.v. shows all tended to be sci-fi like Star Trek, Stargate, Falling Skies, The Librarian, Farscape. Finally got to see Witcher Season 2 and I may need to start reading the books. I also like watching kdrama, cdrama, jdrama when I can. Recently got done watching Jack Ryan and Jack Kreacher series in Amazon Prime with hubby. Going to check out the 2nd season of Halo.
I'm @MyKraftymakes if you're ever on IG. I tend to post my journaling, planner, letter writing and crafty stuff there.
