I'm glad you like the goodies! Aren't those postcards the neatest thing? Just imagine being back in that time. I have a fascination with the 1800's and early 1900's. My dad was born in 1924, during the great depression. I just loved hearing his stories. I'm hoping to find some good estate sales this summer. I go nuts over ephemera. Hope you are doing well! Waters did a show here at a place where I was/am a student ambassador so a bunch of us kids got to come to the gallery talk and hang at the after party and such. I also went and saw his stand-up style thing and had him sign a flyer after, it was an awesome week!
It depends on how you define deal, I just was trying to get one for $100 bucks or less, since that was like all i would allow myself to spend, and was lucky and won the auction before anyone outbid me, it ended midday which had a lot to do with it i think.
Thank you Liz -- I got the wonderful surprise in the mail on Thursday. (Had a road trip Fri/Sat with my daughter) It was so very thoughtful of you to send that my way. I do not have one of these magnets so it was extra special to me. I plan on looking for you book rec in the Library and I will let you know what I think. Thanks again. Sallie
It is going to be an awesome swap I am sure of it! Thanks for joining. I am going to get a 16g iPod from ebay since I drowned my old 8g one. I fully plan on getting some new tunes for it too. I've been combing thru some stuff that never made it on there trying to find some good mixes to share!
