I am married with 5 children, only 2 at home now tho...they are 18 and 16. I love my kids and my hubby and family is the most important thing in the world to me. I am a born-again Christian and have a strong faith which often comes thru in my artwork. I love crosses and scriptures - love to add them into altered artworks and scrap tags etc... I love movies, coffee with friends, doing things with my girls (only 2 at home now as they all growing up) making things for people and just for me or my home, singing (I sing in church), and cooking. LOVE baking and used to have my own cake bakery for 5 years. I'm currently a SAHM and am enjoying having lots of time to create.
I love ALL THINGS VINTAGEY!! Love feminine things but also edgy artsy things...I love Tim Holtz style of scrapping, also Heidi Swapp and Rebecca Sower...amazing women...(and man!) I like to make something out of nothing and I like something that can be made in a day! (microwave mentality - I want it hot and I want it NOW! haha!)
LIke laid back music like Carole King, James Taylor, Bread, (I am SO from the 80's genre!) Love ALL 80's style dance music...ABBA!!!!....also Fat Freddy's Drop (NZ!), OP SHOP(NZ) anything bluesy and jazzy. Like Christian praise and worship music particularly Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Paul Baloche, Planetshakers, Parachute.
Love chick flicks, romcoms, comedys but also action and thriller (tho not erotic nor horror)...so...Chocolat, Fried Green Tomatoes, The Proposal (luv most things Sandra Bullock!) Blind Side, The Green Mile, Mama Mia, The Italian Job,anything with Morgan Freeman...
Brothers and Sisters, Cooking shows (without swearing thankyou Gordon Ramsay!) The Good Wife, House, Home and Away, Location,Location,Location...anything about ancient of days homes in Europe, particularly France...those 17th century farmhouse reneovations...ah, be still my heart! Never tire of those shows...
ALL COOKBOOKS! (I have hundreds!) particularly really old ones - love imagining how they cooked a hundred years ago..and like trying some of those real old recipes...LOVE the history of it.... Somerset Life Magazine...just discovered it and LOOOOVE it!! Scrapping Mags...dont actally read many books..not novels anyway. I like Christian biographies...particuarly ones that tell of an overcoming journey...love that we can rise above and inspire others with our stories. Altered Art books...In This House - amazing!
I LOVE: coffee...REAL coffee - latte and mocha are favourites! Only drink tea first thing and last thing each day...in between it's coffee all the way! REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS!!!!!!!OH SO GOOOD!! But only seen them ONCE in NZ...at a $2 shop would you believe. My son visitied Oregon and brought some back for me last year...m-m-mmmmmmm! Love old fashioned photos, antiqued cards, pictures etc...LOVE all things French (am a self confessed francophile)...love distressed furniture and shabby chic furnishings. Old keys - even rusty In fact any rusty metal things What else...like old cotton lace...tea and coffee stained fabrics/ribbons; old buttons(particularly mother of pearl) and beads; or even new ones that look old!; What else...what would I love to receive?... (Bearing in mind I like particularly old or old looking.... sheet music quotes tags papers wooden mounted stamps all glimmer products - glam/mist/chalk grungeboard old fabrics,lace,tulle etc beads, baubles, buckles old metal (I even pick up squashed metal bottle caps that have been run over by cars! ready to clean and add to some altered art!! haha) old style pics of women and children crosses - REALLY love old looking crosses maps old books, particularly in other languages old bibles and dictionaries DONT LOVE: Nothing 'dark' - goth,vampires,halloween etc - no thanks...(I'm saying that nicely ;)) Not really into animals, tho we have a dog :)
