Comment: Belated thanks for the beautiful quality PC you sent me for this swap. Sometimes I feel like the only person on earth who isn't a Yoshitomo Nara fan, even though I fully appreciate his talent. That said, I'd also be stoked to find a PC book (any PC book!) at a garage sale for 25c! I thought I was lucky to get a 30-PC book for $14.95 last week. (It was 50% off. Imagine paying $30!) I saw a Yoshitomo Nara exhibition in magical *REAL LIFE* once, btw. Sadly, I still felt the same way. :\
Response: I totally agree with you!! I really thought that most people would dig Nara however, I can take it or leave it. I guess that is the best part about art. Thans for your kind words and awesome rating!

..Heya, Karmin! Reading your profile was like coming face-to-face with the poster child of Woodstock! You're like the 70s flower child, totally unperturbed by the perils of modern living like the global economic meltdown etc.. and still grooving to the rollicking tunes of Rock n Roll. I can almost imagine you practising Yoga in a very zen state in a lush, green garden against the backdrop of mountains and there're fluttering butterflies and a rainbow nearby. I took up Yoga for 1-3mths and then I got lazy & didn't practise it at all. Doing Yoga made me realised I was quite flexible to a certain extent. My previous Yoga instructor looked like she was in her 40s but she was actually in her 60s! So, I'd imagine your health must be pretty good, you don't sound like you'd be suffering from the modern day office stress-related illnesses that plague most people. I still have my Surrealism Manifesto somewhere. My Surrealism lecturer back in art school told us he hung out with Andre Breton, how cool was that?! He said Breton was a suave gentleman in his green velvet suit & always wrote with a green ink pen. I was disappointed at the MoMA in '07 as Dali's The Persistence of Memory was on loan. And then I saw The Dali Universe in London, that was an eyeopener but I didn't realised there was also one in Paris. I was just so in awe of the Lourve, Museum d'Orsay, Museum Rodin but Centre Pompido totally rocked my socks!! Anyway, all the best on your future trips! :)

Hi Karmin! Stopped by for the 'Leave a Comment #2' Looks like we have a few things in common. My boyfriend and I love to travel! We haven't done out of the country like you yet, but hopefully in the future! We were just in Denver last month to go to a Rockies game, we have a goal to see every major league game in there hometown, so that will add to our traveling! We have alot of the same likes as far as movies and TV go. Simpsons...such a classic! We recently had a yoga instructor/meditator come to a work retreat and was able to get us to all relax. It was awesome! I wish I had more time to learn techniques like that, I feel like I am always on the go! I am jealous of your European travels and art museum visits. I will make it there eventually. Well I wish you the best! P.S. I hate black licorice too, its so nasty! -keribearsmiles (Keri)

Me too, it helps you to relax and makes you coming in a different world! I am a long time thinking of doing yoga-lessons. When I read your profile I think I now will go do that! Thank you! You have been travelling through Europe... Have you been in the Netherlands? I hope you have liked it! Have a nice day!

Hello! I came here from the "Read My Profile" swap. :) One of my favorite authors is Jodi Picoult too, I just can't believe how well she writes. I have read about half of her books and am working through the rest. I can't pick a fave though, can you? I also like street fairs, farmers markets and thrifting, as well as garage sales. Someone else's trash is my treasure! And it looks like I'm thirding the no black licorice thing, lol. Hope your day is well! Raelene

lorepuckett on Aug 8, 2010:

Hi Karmin, Nice to 'meet' you through the "Read my Profile and Leave a Nice Comment!!" swap. :) I also enjoy yoga but seriously need to make the time to do more of it, it's so good for you isn't it? I dislike black licorice but do like the red, as you do, hehe. I had a similar experience to your seeing a Dali in real life, except that it wasn't traveling abroad. I was in NY a few summers back and was lucky enough to see a Dali exhibit while there. I studied art so I knew his works in books but seeing the real thing is just so surreal! Happy travels to you! :) lorena.

Hi Karmin!! I'm Shanell your read my profile swap pal :) Looks like I'm also the first to leave a comment! Yay!! <3 So things we have in common :) Love of 70s era music and themes like peace signs. :) I love peace signs! I also love stars and moons and suns! Mentos are like the best candy ever!! Esp. The strawberry ones! Yummy :) I too do yoga. I find it completely relieving and self healing. I haven't quite got into meditating as much as I would like but I love the relaxing feel of yogas deep breathing and stretching. :) So as far as your dislikes. Childrens art supplies and pom poms lol. Why don't you like those items?? I also don't like black licorice! Yucky!! Also black jelly beans blah! But anywho, I hope you will respond back soon :) It was so nice to meet you!! {--@ Shanell
