I hope this message finds you well. I want to sincerely apologize for my unexpected and prolonged absence. Due to a health-related issue, I was unable to communicate or attend to my responsibilities as I normally would.

I understand this hiatus may have caused delays or left matters unresolved, and for that, I truly apologize. Please know that it was never my intention to leave anything unattended. I am now in recovery and gradually resuming my activities, and I’m committed to addressing any pending matters or obligations.

If there’s anything specific that needs my immediate attention, I would deeply appreciate it if you could let me know. I genuinely value our connection and look forward to making things right moving forward.

Please use my U.S. address for all shipments, including swaps. This ensures packages arrive promptly and don’t get lost or delayed—unlike when they’re sent to Costa Rica, which can take years jajaja.

However, please note: I use my Costa Rica address when sending out swaps myself, as most of them are handmade.

Hello! I'm Maria — 56 years old, mom of three wonderful grown children, and proud grandma of six beautiful grandbabies.

We recently moved from our larger home into a condo, where we're now distributed across units — but still living as one big family of 15. :)

Family is everything to me. I also have a deep love for art, reading, traveling, the internet, movies, classic and indie music, deep conversations, philosophy, philology, history, anthropology — and even politics. Though I am an atheist, I’m genuinely fascinated by religious iconography, symbols, spirits, angels, and pagan imagery. I welcome items related to these themes — just please, no Jehovah’s Witness materials, and kindly no attempts to convert me. —

I’m a minimalist by nature. I don’t believe in hoarding and love to share. I always do my best to send thoughtful, high-quality swaps, and I truly appreciate quality over quantity in return.

Creativity is my heartbeat. I quilt, sew, create mixed media art, alter and upcycle items, and enjoy recycling materials in meaningful ways. I especially love:

• Cotton fabrics (quilt shop quality only)
• Ethnic textiles and batiks
• Fibers, buttons, beautiful paper
• Vintage treasures
• Supplies for collage, journaling, or Flowish-style creations

I’m deeply inspired by nature, the cosmos, stars, trees, the ocean, planets, and seasonal beauty — especially Fall, Christmas, and SNOW (yes, snow!!).

If you’re sending postcards, I prefer them blank and in an envelope, even if the swap requires them to be written on (don’t worry — I won’t rate you down!). I also love reused postcards, greeting cards, and note cards for collage and creative reuse. You might even receive one back from me in the form of a handmade or repurposed envelope! I also collect used postage stamps, de-stash supplies, and paper ephemera of all kinds.

I especially adore: - Handmade items that reflect your soul - Decorated or painted envelopes (4"x6" and larger) - Happy mail, jelly prints, painted papers - Unique items, antiques, and vintage supplies - Lighthouses, cherry blossoms, hot air balloons, stars, roses - The 1920s and 1950s - Supplies that spark creativity

Please do not send:

• Dirty or smelly items (especially anything with smoke)
• Childish or baby-themed items (I’m an adult — no Disney or cutesy stuff, please)
• Tiny stickers or those meant for children
• Items from the 1970s (though I may re-purpose some vintage 70s materials)
• Home-printed notepaper
• Postcards with visible price tags on the back (I can’t reuse them)
• Nude images (even of babies — I don’t find that cute)
• Vulgar nor rude content either
• Pet-themed items

I’m honest, passionate, intense, and very straightforward — which sometimes gets me into trouble, but it’s just part of who I am. I value authenticity, thoughtfulness, and meaningful connections. I truly look forward to sharing creativity and kindness through every swap.
