Hi my name's Phoebe and I'm from Western Australia. I really love DIY projects and exploring the outdoors.
I really love the ocean and enjoy swimming and all water-sports that come with it like surfing and sailing.
The perfect day for me would begin in the early morning waking up in a tent along a trail I'd hiked the day before. I'd have a cup of tea in one hand and a camera in the other.
My favourite colour is purple although I am partial to all cool toned colours. Maybe it's because blues and greens remind me of the ocean and the native flora of where I live.
I am also studying biochemistry and love to nerd out about it :)
I hoping to make lots of new friends :)
I really like to read all things science fiction and apocalyptic but I often like to vary it up because I get bored of the same genre conventions.
Some of my favourite books of all time include:
5th Wave by Rick Yancey
20 000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne
The Shinning by Stephen King
Cloudstreet by Tim Winton (this one took me a while to get into but eventually I was totally hooked and I loved the atmosphere that it created)
I really like all things snail mail and lettering.
I am also really big into knitting. At the moment I'm experimenting with 15mm needles and it's been really fun working with a larger more chunky stich.
Photography is also something that I really enjoy. At the moment I am enjoying experimenting with portraits and variations in lighting and exposure.
For a while I was working with polymer clay. This was really therapeutic as working with the materials was a sensory blessing.
Combining my love for the outdoors and the crafts I'd love to try nature journaling .
Tying in with this I'd also like to practice botanical sketching because I think that this creates so really beautiful prints.
I could genuinely also spend hours watching cake decorating videos on the internet so I thing one day I'd like to pick that up.
I like alternate pop/rock tunes like the wombats or jungle giants but honestly I have a relativly small attention span and get bored quite quickly when it comes to music. Therefore I've pretty much been through phases of obssessing over all different genres.
I'm always open to new suggestions and song recomendations.
