I am in education---have worked with people with disabilities for years.
Live in the south---love the midwest and NYC.
Have a very large extended family.
Am LDS (member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints).
Have no pets. I rarely have free time--but when I do, it's usually spent sleeping, traveling, reading, and online.
I like to cook, make bread, and sew when I have time as well.
Some things I do not like: criticism, people who are ignorant or prejudiced against those with disabilities, and waiting.
I like any kind of postcards and "you pick" swaps. I just love learning about people around the country and world! Look forward to swapping with you!
Some of my likes:
Chocolate--love all kinds of chocolate except for white chocolate.
I love orange flavored candies.
I like 3D stickers, any kind of post cards (except I do not want any post cards or mail with risque type themes---keep it clean!)
Some of my favorite things that I have received in swaps include:
--items from another country such as coins, stamps, cards, notebook paper, etc.
--chocolate
--cute miniature post-it notes, letter supplies, etc.
--washi tape
--note cards
--any fun craft/art items
Things I collect:
Tea pots (especially "tea for 2 types). Anything with roses, especially red ones. Christmas ornaments from places I've been
So far I haven't been sent anything I did not like.
I have 2 nieces (6 and 12) and 1 nephew--and like to do swaps for kids for things for them sometimes.
I mainly just like getting and sending mail :)
Allergies:
No food allergies (well--food that can be mailed--I am allergic to hard shell fish like oysters, but doubt someone would mail that).
--VERY allergic to cats, cigarette smoke, dander --very sensitive to smells, especially flowery perfume and talc.
--Please avoid sending anything with chalk or latex
--I do not drink coffee or tea---so please don't send any.
