I AM BACK..... and my, things have changed since 4 years ago.
I am now single and happy and living in Bridgetown Western Australia.
After moving 1400kms and renting 5 different houses my sons and I now own and live on my dream 5 acre place in a 100yo farm house. Yay! One bucket list item ticked off.
I was able to drag my paint mare, my 2 girl labradors and a rapidly growing chook population with me.
It is so nice to know that we will not have to move again.
I now work 5 days a week manning a general store and bookings for a lovely old mill town called Donnelly River Village. The calming effect of being in the middle of a forest is wonderful. Meeting new people is the best part of my job.
I spend a lot of my free time working with sheep...farming is a passion of mine.
Now the dust has settled I found that I was missing the creativity and friendship I had with swapbot.
Due to a terrific swap....4 years ago, I have completed a bucket list and I think it says alot about me so I thought I would paste here:
Hope you like my bucket list, it was terrific to do, it really gave me an insight into what I really want in life and will definitely do my utmost to get most of these in the bag!
5 day horseride over the Bogong Ranges, the high country in Victoria, Australia. Ultimately I would love to ride my own horse, but it would be very expensive to cart her across the Nullabor. Hey, maybe I could ride her there (what's another couple of months riding!!)
Get back to size 12, so that would be 15 kgs to lose, this I will do for sure, cause it's getting me down.
Saving and spending $2000 on a new size 12 wardrobe, yay!!
Hand rear an eclectus. I have hand reared weeros and was so fulfilling, an eclectus would be thrilling.
Breed pure bred, registerable labradors. I have two beautiful lab girls whom I have bred a few litters from and they have provided a lot people with lovely family pets, but I would like to take it one step further and get them to show quality but not forgetting good temperament.
Buy and live on a small acreage with my kids and animals, happily and peacefully. The acreage will be in a green, rolling hill area with plenty of water, trees and sunny days. 10-15 acres would be enough!....TICKED OFF
Cooking tour of France or Italy. Nothing too fancy , just good honest meals with lovely fresh local produce, with a great bunch of ladies who like to imbibe in the grape.
Sort out my marriage. It's not great, we live fairly separate lives in the same house, either sort the marriage out or find us the people who make us happy.....YES, THIS ONE TICKED OFF TO.
Write and publish a successful non fiction book, maybe about someone sorting out their marriage and living happily ever after!!
Vist a Paint Horse Stud in America. My mare is a paint mare and I would love to see the home of the mighty Paint. Plus I would be mixing with likeminded people.
See a killer whale in it's natural habitat.
Take the boys to all of the Gold Coast theme parks, before they get too old.
Travel around Australia for a year.
See Pink Floyd "The Wall" concert, if only they would do it all again.
Do a castle tour of the UK, visit all of the places in the Enid Blyton books.
Go to Cornwall, inspired by reading "The Shell Seekers" by Rosamunde Pilcher
Travel with my Aunty Hil. My Aunty Hil and I are soul mates, truly likeminded and this would be the lovliest experience to have.
Go to a meditation retreat (hey, maybe with my Aunty Hil).
Stop gossiping and dissing people, if I try really hard I can do it for long periods of time and it really pays off, but then I slip, so I want this to be in the forefront of my mind whenever I am having a conversation from now on.
Whale watching at Hervey Bay. Now, there are places in Western Australia that would be closer, but Hervey Bay is the premium place to watch.
21.Win a spelling competition on television. I tell you, I'm pretty good!!
Go visit Dundee, Scotland the hometown of my mother's father (dec).
Go visit the hometown in Germany of my father's father (dec), not sure where that is just yet.
See my children grow into courteous, caring, happy young men.....THEY ARE GETTING THERE
Learn to be totally happy with myself....I AM GETTING THERE
My music tastes are very broad. My sons have introduced me to dub step, Frank Ocean, Flume, Angus & Julia Stone. I have in turn introduced them to Pink Floyd The Wall...which is great music to do the house cleaning to!
Major bookaholic, in two book clubs!! Current likes are "The Book Thief", "5 People You Meet in Heaven", "Gang of Four", "Lord of the Rings", "Harry Potter". "The Help", "Belly dancing for Beginners" .... I am too impatient for "Who Dunnits" Typical Taurean!!
I also re read Ajahn Brahm's - Open the Door of Your Heart - insightful little stories of Buddhist philosophy that really help when the chips are down.

Zentangles are great fun!! There is no rules or guidelines, you can go for broke and let it flow!!" Artwise: I love art by Dante Rosetti, Gustav Klimt. I love fantasy eg fairies, dragons, gothic, not keen on cheesy, cutesy stuff.
I would love to receive anything I can use on an ATC - papers, embellishments old tickets (bus, concert, etc)ephemera, pages out of a foreign(not english)book, pages out of a road map of a foreign country (not Oz), scraps of unusual material/fibre, rubber stamps, embossing powder, dotee doll embellishments,Stamping magazines/cooking magazines (secondhand is fine)THANKS
I love peanut butter, fruity, melon flavours and pretty much anything apart from spearmint and licorice.
