Newbie crafter--I've only just found Zentangling and embroidery in the past year or so, and I love it!
I just don't know what to do with my finished products. If I can find a fun way to share them through Swap-Bot, all the better!
So, until I get the hang of this and know how to more appropriately fill out my profile, I'll just write a few random statements about myself:
1) I'm not a majorly crafty gal, I'm actually in tremendous awe of some of the things I've seen posted here! But I do enjoy paper embroidery (trying my first cloth embroidery project now!) to decorate note cards and I've definitely fallen for the zentangling and coloring craze. I find it's a wonderful way to relax.
2) I'm a coffee lover-the stronger the better!
3) I love being outdoors. I love going on a hike, and packing a project in my backpack, stopping on a riverbank and working! I made all of this year's Christmas cards on a cliff in Great Falls Park.
4) I'm an only child.
Likes/Dislikes: Er...nature-themed stuff? I live in a city in a basement apartment that I love, but that doesn't leave me a whole lot of nature. Plants and flowers and nature images are all really pleasing to me. Not nature-like at all, but I also love glitter. I am in the Krewe of Muses and have far too much glitter in my life. Just kidding--you can never have too much glitter :) http://kreweofmuses.org/shoes/
I'm sure I'll be able to add more as I use SB, but the only thing I can really think that I don't care for would be super bright/neon colors.
Okay, I hate talking about myself, and that's all I've got for now. I will try to add more later!
Most anything from XM's Lithium, BPM, or Classic Rewind stations.
(That's 90s grunge, current house, and classic rock.)
Memoirs, History and Mystery
I am currently listening to Amy Poehler's "Yes Please," and reading Henry Kissenger's "Diplomacy"
None, really. I'm not home enough to watch a lot, but when I do, I'll Netflix a movie--usually comedies, or some French film so I can practice hearing (and so remembering) my French.
I did watch 30 Rock when it was on TV.
