I'm a shopgirl who loves having a job she can leave at work. It leaves plenty of time for my varied interests. These include: many kinds of crafting (see favorite crafts), reading, visiting museums, patronizing local business, eating out, going to shows, dancing, netflixing everything in sight.

Other things about me... I'm a shorty and proud of it. Words usually used to describe me include "enthusiastic," "energetic" and "bubbly," occasionally "giggly" gets tossed in there, and if I'm lucky every now and then someone will say "smart."

I also enjoy...tea, paper, board games, girl detectives, cold desserts, robots, yarn, getting mail and my green vintage schwinn cruiser whose name is Breezy Sheila.

Mostly indie stuff. My new favorite band is the Dodos, but right now I also can't stop listening to Born Ruffians and Foals.

I don't like anything that sounds reminiscent of elevator music, stuff that's insanely overproduced or anything I've heard way too many times.

Anything by Jane Austen, but most of all Emma. Anything by Ian McEwan, especially Atonement. Also Lighthousekeeping by Jeanette Winterson and for non-fiction The Polysyllabic Spree by Nick Hornby. Favorite poet is Seamus Heaney.

Usually torn between really enjoying intelligent, independent films and a soft spot for even the cheesiest romantic comedies. Especially Christmas themed ones. That said I'd list the following as some favorites: Juno, Starter for 10, Winter Passing, The History Boys, Goodbye Lenin!, Breaking and Entering, Ratatouille. I also usually love BBC miniseries.

Most of my favorite shows have been canceled. Canceled shows I loved include: Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Studio 60, The OC (but mostly only the first 2 seasons, I'm sorry but it was good), Men In Trees.

Shows I watch that are actually still on the air: Doctor Who, Bones, Grey's Anatomy.

Knitting! I also like to sew. I'm into paper crafting of all kinds: card making, book binding, collaging, etc. I embroider pretty well if I put my mind to it. Occasionally I toy around with some photo stuff using my Holga.

Favorite colors are purples, greens, teal and grey.
