Description:

I just went into a new yarn store in the town were I live and Boy Oh! Boy! did they have some great stuff! Now I know that most of us yarn enthusiasts just love to find new kinds of yarn and are constantly adding to our collection. For this swap please send a skein of your absolute favorite kind of yarn to someone else. I am sure that different stores carry different things and that there are probably different types of yarn in different parts of the country. Please make it something really special that will THRILL your partner! There are no regulations that I can think of regarding the type, color, size, etc. But if you have any questions or thoughts feel free and e-mail me.

Please DO NOT sign up if your feedback is less then a 3 or you have multiple "no ships" because you will be banned.

Would people be interested in having more then one partner? I know I would, but didn't want to overwelm people. Let me know an I can update if people are interested.

I will have to wait until I receive another rating. I just joined Swap-bot, though I've already sent out my obligations for 3 swaps. Ratings just haven't come through yet.

But to answer your question, in case I get a chance to sign up, too, I wouldn't mind more than one partner. For myself, I could handle 2 maybe 3 partners.

I hope I get to sign up. I love yarn!

Also, you might just do one partner this go around, and if the swap does well (no complaints nor poor Ratings), then maybe we could do another one and add one or two partners if everyone is agreeable.

Sounds good. I will leave it at one partner for this swap, but do a more extensive one if people want. KarlaKC feel free and join (if you haven't already) - I just don't want people with multiple negative feedbacks to sign up. Happy Swapping everyone! -Angie

Question about type of yarn. You mentioned you went in a Yarn Store, so are we swapping "yarn store" quality or is this open to Red Heart brands and those that can be found in Michael's and JoAnn's and such retail stores?

My "absolute FAVORITE" ball of yarn cost me $10 and it was an absolute indulgence for me to buy it! Before I shared that with someone else, it would be hard, but I could give it to someone, I would want to be sure I didn't receive a $2 RH brand. I LOVE Red Heart and Caron Simply Soft, etc., but just wanting to be sure I understand correctly if there are any values placed on the yarn swapped between partners.

Im going to send some balls that cost 3 each and some that cost 7 each. I have lots of extra yarn that I have bought in the last few months and I dont seem to have a lot of time anymore. I hope my partner likes blues and grey and green:) Just to clarify, At the end of the swap, the site will email us the partner that we send to?

Personally, I don't like plain acrylic. I'll admit that I'm a yarn snob, but it does dry my hands out and I generally find it unpleasant to work with unless it's a high quality acrylic yarn. I also don't like a slub yarn and prefer not to work with chenille yarns unless it's a cotton/chenille blend. You don't have to go expensive to get a good quality yarn. Check out www.knitpicks.com. They have some good yarns at great prices.

I just sent mine off yesterday .... it has to go through customs so it may be a day or so late .... just thought I'd post so my swap partner knows.

Hi all! I missed my postman today, but dropped it off at the PO. Were we supposed to tell our partner's who we were? I did not...wasn't close to a computer to ask before I mailed! I can email her though! Thanks! Laursink

Thanks Knit Chick so much I love it love it love it, I have a quick question for you, I would love to get 2 more so that I can make something quite large out of it. Would it be possible for you to send me 2 more and I can pay you for them via paypal, or maybe do a personal swap?
