For all of you who love 1930's Reproduction Prints. We will be swapping one fat quarter with each of two partners.

Fabric should be good quality, 100% cotton. No thin, see-through fabric!

Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile. All others must have at least a 4.8 rating with no bad ratings in the last 3 months.

You may want to take a look at your partners profile for their color likes and dislikes, but it is ultimately SENDERS choice. Please don't feel that you have to go out and buy more fabric just because you don't have a certain color.

are Joann fabric's good enough quality to join? I don't have access to quilt shop fabric, but love reproduction prints, and sure would love to join!

I don't know much about Joann's as we don't have them in Canada, but I would say yes they will be fine. I just don't want any really thin, see-through fabrics.

I am collecting 30's prints to start a new quilt using them so this is great timing for me!

I don't think that Joann's quality or prints compare quite the same to quilt shop, most especially their fat quarters.

I think you are right @fancygraphics that JoAnns pre-cut Fat Quarters are not usually a good quality. However, I have been able to find some good quality fabrics at Joanns off the bolt, especially reproduction prints because they carry fabrics from Northcott, P & B Textiles, and Windham just as the quilt stores do. I would hate for someone to think they couldn't participate if they didn't have a quilt store near them. I think if you are careful with what fabrics you select and make sure they are a higher thread count (thicker) then it would be fine. That is fine with me anyway if someone gets me as a partner! :-)

I totally agree with you Ky, Joann's has some good quality fat quarters off the bolt. I should have specified that.

oops, too early, i meant to write fabrics off the bolt. I second all else you wrote as well.

I'm so excited!!! I found Rustic Yearnings, a quilt shop I can get to that had so many 1930's reproduction prints to choose from I had a hard time......fun time, but hard to choose. happy me!
