Description:

Hi This will be my first swap this year and I thought we´d make something with fun and cheerful colours. Think springtime and knit or crochet 2 (two) dishcloths for 1 (one) partner. Pattern and colour is sender´s choice but think springtime and happy colous please. 100 % cottonyarn only and not too small - 7 x 7 and up are usually ok.

No unexplained low ratings in the last two months please.

Happy swapping and feel free to ask questions!

Is this just meant for very experienced knitters or crocheters.? I can make a nice cloth but not perfect or exceptionally fancy as I am a beginner!! I would hate to have someone disappointed!!!!!

cant seem to keep my edges straight so i am dropping this one!!!

Oh, you can join no matter what level you´re on :). If you knit, there´s a pattern called Idiot´s pattern: www.groovy-mom.com/crafty/patterns/dishcloth.shtml (I use this all the time). An easy way to make the edges more straight is to always knit the first stitch instead of just lifting it.

Feel very welcomed back, we´ve all been beginners :)

Unfortunately I dont knit I crochet! I am working on finding a way to mark stitches to keep it even! It is getting better as I go along so hopefully I can make 2 straight ones! I can make simple amigurumi now so i thought this would be easy! Not so much!!

to fix my wonky (when they are just a little wonky) I do a SC around the outer edge.. makes it look more uniform..

That is what I do,too: just single crochet all around the edge or do a few decorative rows. Then if my edges were uneven no-one can tell-it looks like it's part of the design! Hang in there patumma! No pressure!

Oh! And,patumma-why not make something circular or flower shaped? If you do amigurumi you are quite familiar with circles :D That would solve the whole wonky edge thing altogether!

You guys are awesome!!! I did a border and it fixed some of the issues but one still isn't perfectly flat and even! I should try a round one I seem to be better at that!!
