About Me....

My name is Brandy and I live in Golden, Colorado. I have 2 children, Gus (6) and Gabby (3). I am a stay-at-home mom and wife. I also have a dog named Julep. My husband and I have been married for 7 years and he is still the most handsome man that I have ever laid eyes on. I enjoy many different hobbies but crafting, cooking and traveling are my top three! I love meeting new people and trying new things. Swapping sounds like a blast so I am anxious to get started!

My Favorite Music....

My musical taste is very ecclectic. If you were to find my iPod lying in the street and picked it up and listened to my playlist, you would think I was a real nutcase. I love everything from Showtunes to Old School Booty to Opera and Jazz. Browsing through iTunes and finding songs that I haven't heard in ages or finding songs that I can't wait to hear again is one of my favorite activities. I like a bit of everything!

My Favorite Books....

I have been an avid reader for my entire life. When I was a little girl, my mom worked in a bookstore so I was introduced to a great deal of children's literature and my love of reading continued from there. My favorite books of all time are, Cricket in Times Square, Where the Red Fern Grows, Beezus and Ramona, Fudge, To Kill a Mockingbird, Memoirs of a Geisha, Gone With The Wind, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Water for Elephants, Secret Life of Bees, Prince of Tides, Conrack.......the list goes on and on and on! My husband gave me a Kindle for Mother's Day last year and I LOVE IT! If I ever lost it, I would issue an Amber Alert!

My Favorite Movies....

The Wizard of Oz, South Pacific, The Sound of Music, Pretty in Pink, Good Morning Vietnam, Sex in the City, Good Will Hunting, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Rocky movies, Bridges of Madison County, Bridget Jones, Four Wedding and a Funeral, Notting Hill, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Legends of the Fall, A River Runs Through It and anything with Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Sam Elliott, Gene Hackman and Robert Duvall in it. I'm a sucker for a cute boy!

Favorite Television.....

I love any kind of TV that does nothing to enrich my life or educate me. My husband likes to say that I love any program that will rot my brain. Shows like The Real Housewives, Flipping Out, Intervention, Hoarders, The Real World, The Hills, The City, The Kardashians, 19 Kids and Counting, Whale Wars, etc. are on my "schedule." If I'm feeling like I need a little "mental floss," I watch either Oprah or National Geographic. Seriously, I love TV.

Favorite Crafts...

I have never really met a craft I didn't like. I love to try new things and put new twists on old things. I love painting, scrapping, collage, polymer clay, carving, sewing with felt, tile mosaic and crafts involving recycling. I'll try anything and love looking through magazines and books for new inspiration. Bright colors, glitter and sparkle are usually a big part of my creations. Basically, I like doing everything!

My wish list includes: anything glittery or sparkley, I love bumble bees and sea horses. Shells and beach stuff, recipe cards, cool buttons and beads, ribbons, papers, etc. I collect Eiffel towers, and vintage travel stuff. I love postcards from around the world, note cards and pretty papers.....anything that is beautiful.

I like wine, cooking, funky and contemporary things, sea horses, cupcakes, Kawaii, sewing, reading, cool buttons, bright colored trims, bows and brads, anything pink, crochet, unusual yarns, anything French, art deco, doodles, Sharpies, sea shells, Asian stuff, European stuff, bees and glittery stuff.

I dislike juvenille stuff, stuff that is heavily scented or smells like smoke, swaps that someone has not put time or thought into, stencils, country looking things, religious stuff, and most of all.....flakers!!!!!
