Hi! Iām Melissaāa wife, homeschooling-turned-hybrid-school mom of three who loves living a slower, more analog life. I spend a lot of my time junk journaling, watercolor painting, writing poetry, gardening, reading all types of books, yoga (200hr RYT), homesteading, and capturing life through sketching and photography. I love meaningful creativityāthings that feel cozy, nostalgic, handmade, or nature-inspired. I love herbal teas, and handcraft my own mixes that I sell at my farmstand.
Iām especially drawn to cottage-garden beauty, vintage imagery, pressed flowers, butterflies, bees, botanicals, and old paper goods. I also love uplifting quotes, poems, scripture, and little encouraging words tucked into happy mail. Iām someone who saves tiny scraps of paper because they might become part of something someday. š
I really do appreciate everything I receive because I know people put time, creativity, and care into swaps. Iām not super picky ā happy mail of any kind makes my day. ā„ļø
That said, I know itās easier to send something when you have a little direction, so here are some things I especially love:
I love junk journal suppliesāephemera, pockets, pouches, tags, foreign stamps, fabric scraps, lace, trim, envelopes, stationary, notepads, fave pen exchanges, and interesting paper bits.
Stickers I love: flowers, butterflies, botanicals, bees, inspirational quotes, poems, and scripture.
I enjoy vintage used or unused postage stamps from the U.S. or other countries, old playing cards with pretty backs, ATCs, journals, original art, old books/pages, sheet music, crumpled paper, deckled-edge paper, watercolor paper, and sketchbooks.
My kids are obsessed with PokƩmon, and they would be overjoyed if I received something in that category too haha.
My style tends to lean toward neutral colors, earth tones, mustard yellow, deep red, mauve pink, sage green, forest green, navy, dark teal, and gold (I love gold anything!). I sometimes use glitter accents, too. I also genuinely enjoy being exposed to bright colors and other peopleās unique color palettesāit inspires my creativity.
I also enjoy puns (the wholesome kind š).
Things I prefer to avoid: I donāt love horror, skulls, anime, gothic dolls, overly witch/spell-themed items, political or violent imagery, clowns, snakes, creepy dolls, or bloodshot eyeballs. (Pretty artistic eyeball sketches are fine though ā hard to explain, but hopefully you get it! š)
Thank you for swapping with me ā I truly appreciate the time and creativity behind what you send.
