I received your swap today and thanks so much for your very nice note, yummy recipes, two blank recipe cards, and I'm not sure what the cute little paper baking utensils and apron are for. But love them and everything else! I love the sound of the Apple dumplings, yum! I'm not crazy about box cake mixes. As I do everything completely scratch. But I'll give the cake mix Apple Cobbler a try though.😀 Anyway, I really don't talk much about my Cancer, as it's depressing. As just when I go into remission, I think "oh good, maybe it will stay for years". But It seems not to care and comes back after 4 years. This is my 3rd round. I need a new doctor. Because every time he says, Oh' Don't worry, it shouldn't return again ever". What a joke! I'm taking after my grandfather. he went through the same exact thing. He had Bowel cancer and so now so do i. Well, Enough on the subject, moving on. As for joining your recipe swaps, I will join them for as long as I can. This is what keeps my mind busy and I love to cook and bake regardless my medical problem. That's a great idea about holiday recipes! I'm looking forward to them. I did go to the forum and put in Recipe ideas at the end of the page. I hope the ideas are good ones.😀 Thank you for your prayers. Lord knows I do need them. Please take care and be well.

Comment: Thanks for the great recipes, apron/cooking paper pieces, and note. It is so hot in Augusta. I was in Ohio last week and terribly miss the 80 degree temps. My family gathered at my parents for the 4th. We had pulled pork and all the fixings. I took cole slaw. Thank you SO much for the blank recipe cards. The only ones I have are fall and Christmas themed.

I haven't canned anything since 2017, but the last thing I canned was pear quarters in vanilla apple juice. Wow, were they a treat! Each quart got half a vanilla bean.

I didn't see the "bake the chocolate cake according to directions" part of the candy bar cakie instructions and showed it to my husband, which he quickly pointed out. ha! The extra recipe cards are appreciated. May I ask where you found them The black and white with drawings? outstanding swap!

Comment: Wow thank you so much. You went above and beyond and I love all the goodies. The tags, envelopes, papers, note sets, everything was so cute and will get put to good use. I agree, it has been awfully hot here also, except for this past week when the weather cooled off but with it came a tropical storm and tornados (not usual for NJ at all!), lost power, and a ton of trees down! So that wasn't so fun. We lost power for the morningbut was back on in the afternoon. We decided to go to Michael's and shop for craft supplies while the power was out!! So at least we enjoyed ourselves, and spent too much money there as usual!! Thanks again, Nicole
