I kept adding color to the card and it got muddled and then I thought it looked kind of safari-ish. So I came up with a phrase to add and played around with that also. I was also working on the "little" attachment and kept adding things to the pockets. I had to eventually tape it down to make sure it stayed in place. Glad you like it. Thanks so much for my rating.

Comment: Wow I love how you did it. I think all of the pieces stayed attached. What product did you use? Canada Post did put it in a protective bag. It really made me smile. It's kind of random but yet all together. I love it. Thank you so much for this art piece! This is swap-bot! :) Your writing kinda looks like calligraphy.
Response: Oh, I am so glad you got it with all parts attached. It was hilarious at the PO. They were trying to figure out whether I needed a customs slip. It took them a while to make the decision. Then they couldn't put the whole custos sticker on bc of the PC size so they cut off the part where it described what was "in" the package. They said, if they can't figure it out, something is definitely wrong with them. LOL. I use Glossy Accents by Inkessentials. It is wonderful stuff. Every time I make one of those PCs my partner asks what I use. As to my writing, I used to have a very good hand, but now mostly I have no control of the pen due to some nerve problem. I have some (very few) times when I can write without the squiggly lines. Now I just call it my "artful" handwriting. Glad you enjoyed your swap. Thanks so much for the rating.

Response: Hey board game lover, I am so happy you enjoyed your PC. All kinds of game ideas went into my mind as I read your profile. Then I wanted to include the book title so I decided on Scrabble. I used Glossy Accents to hold the letters on. That is wonderful stuff. Holds on all kinds of embellishments (including metal), and I used it to coat the letters to look like shiny tiles. You could call it shellacky wonder glue. Of course after I printed the game a gazillion times shrinking it down, my pinter began to run out of color so it came out kinda pinkish, but I still liked the look. Thanks for my rating.

Comment: 12/20/12: From the swap description: "RULES: Postcards must be sent on 12-12-12 (and postmarked)" The only way that you can guarantee a postmark is to go inside the post office and ask them to hand cancel the mail. This means that you see them stamp the mail ... or in my case I stamp it myself with the postmark cancellation. I put extra effort to make sure that all of my partners got a very nice swap with a proper cancellation and I am rewarded with a lackluster swap that has a poor cancellation that I can barely read as being on 12-12-12. I believe that you complied with the swap description and I am giving you the 5 without a heart.
Response: The post card was sent on 12/12/12. I did go into the PO. I am sorry you could not read the postmark. Thanks for the rating and since you feel as you do, the heart was not merited. But I appreciate the rating and you taking time to bless me out. Have a happy holiday.

The book looks great, I think the combination of different shades of red works wonderfully. Response: I am so glad it arrived in one piece! The clerk in the PO put tape over the address bc he thought it was going to smear, but I used a heat gun to completely dry the ink. Should have done that with the message, but I had already used a sealer. Glad you like it and thanks for the rating.

Comment: Awesome RAKs. I have been RAK'ed postage stamps by a store clerk in a little market I went to. I needed a stamp urgently so I popped in but I only had my ATM card and they charge a dollar (in)convenience fee. So the guy just let me have it. So sweet of him.
Response: Thanks. Yes, that was really sweet of him. I am always giving out stamps and transit tokens. I forgot to add that to my list. If I see someone taking the bus and they are using cash, I offer a token. I just hate people giving the transit company extra money. It costs less to use a token than cash. Thanks for the rating.

Maybe I can do like you and add a little stamp or something that says: Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty. It was a bumper sticker an old teacher of mine had.

I took my scouts to Lancaster County for a program at Hershey. After a fun program in the Chocolate Lab the girls went to the park (to get on rides (of all things). We went to dinner at Shady Maple, and then I visited the to store. OMG! Was it packed with wonderful items I could use for swap-bot. I picked up some Christmas cards (vintagey) and a few other items. I just loved the store. I must go back. Sorry for the babbling, but I thought of you (and a couple of partners) when I entered the store. Yes, I spent way too much money but loved every minute. I laughed when I opened the door to the postman presenting me with the large tupperware tub. :) The plentiful collection of notecards & handmade envies etc will definitely find good homes; but my favourite item was the postal packing tape. Definitely worth the wait. :)
Response: The postal clerk also thought it was a funny package especially when I bought the tape and put it in the container. She wanted to know if I was going to purchase a box or wrap it. Nope, send it just as it is. You know I've been so behind and had so many swaps to send out I can't even remember who was sent what. That pinky orange is one of those colors that brings back very pleasant childhood memories. The butterfly card is beautiful and I will definitely use the ribbon, candles, tag and gift pouch. Response: You are so welcome! Go ahead put something in that journal; you can't mess it up. I thought I may have put too much color in it for you, but I don't really like white space. It's so much easier to add something to a page that's already started with color. Add more color, splash more paints on the pages, tape or glue something in, add "stuff " to the clips, go for it. You know all that stuff you save but don't know what to do with? Put it in your journal. Make sections for certain things or just open it to a page and add something, anything. At the end, you'll love the masterpiece you've made. Thanks for the rating and the heart. Let me know if you still feel uncertain about starting your journal. I'll prompt you some more. Oh, and I might have a site for you to look at for inspiration if you like. But, by alll means, do not let your journal just sit and remain empty. It's meant to be jammed full of your ephemera and thoughts ....

Thank you for my heart and the wonderful comment. I tried responding to your rating last night but my computer kicked me out. I told of the funny thing that happened with the coffee stained flowers. (Hope the scent is not too much for you.) I dipped the flowers in the coffee solution and before they dried, the flower petals flattened and then fell apart. I had to glue them back together (piece by piece) and curl the petals again. Hopefully, they were curled when you received it. :)
