I have a space dress that everyone tell me reminds them of Ms. Frizzle. And reading "Legends of the Hidden Temple" brought back nostalgia I had forgotten about! My mom used to make our costumes from scratch as kids, and they were always so cool. She also did face painting as a side gig, so it worked well for Halloween. Have a fun time this year!

Thank you for taking time to read my profile. I do all the stuff for the kids. I'll try anything they are interested in and I keep it up as long as it's something they want to talk about. Although, I don't stop doing much because of the age ranges we have. My oldest niece just turned 31 and her son is my youngest great nephew at 18 months. I have a great nephew that is turning 4 on Saturday and he is having a dinosaur/shark themed party so I am wearing a dinosaur T-shirt and a shark head hat! It's all for the kids! Response: So glad you love your washi sampler - When I went to make the sample I realized that I didn't have as much fall stuff as I though I might lol so I had to improvise but I think it worked out ok! The pink and gold pumpkin washi is from Ali Express - takes a little bit to get an order from them but not near as long as wish - great prices - Ive ordered TONS of washi from there!

Response: So glad it finally made it there and that you love it =) International mail always makes me nervous, sometimes it takes a couple of weeks sometimes months!! Very colorful pc! So Many little stickers... where did they all come from? Smart to cover with packing tape so they didn't come off in the postal machines.
Thank you for taking the time to find them and stick them all on. I haven't looked closely at each one yet, but I notice you have some Pokémon (or Yugioh) characters-or they mimic them, some cute gnomes, and an adorable strawberry frog!

Response: 2021 was still odd days of covid - lots of extra time on my hands - I read close to a book a day lmao - that is all I really did other than adulting those days lol - no shopping not much crafting, no decorating bc I couldn't shop so Reading it was!! I actually didn't realize I could listen to so many books until the end of that year so I actually read probably 225 of the 250!! These days I've added so much other things bCk into my life so I only read an average of 7-8 books a month and I usually hybrid read them so I listen when I'm busy doing other stuff and read with my eyes when I'm not ;) looking forward to sharing Reads with book friends!!

I found them at the thrift store!! 2 separate times I got a mystery bag of cards and there were some Garfield postcards hidden in the middle of the stack!!! so far you are the only swap friend I have who loves Garfield so they are earmarked for you ;) I might have a few more stashed away!! I love so much when I read a profile and I'm like omg I've been saving this item until I found it the perfect home- when I do it is so satisfying =) Happy Mail is so gratifying for me on both ends I'm a gift giver by nature so being able to put together surprises and presents for so many people brings me such joy and I also of course love the joy of opening my mailbox each day to see what goodies are waiting for me!! I told my hubby the other day I hit next level status with the mail man - he started rubber banding my mail each day because I get so much incoming mail 😆🤣

I like to buy used books, too, whenever possible. Used to go to library book sales, but don't see those often anymore. I do buy my books from Better World Books, so they come from all over. I especially love it when I get a discarded library book through BWB from a town I know or lived in. :) I get super excited and my family just looks at me like I grew an extra head. Sigh. That might make a good swap - What have you found in used books? :) Thanks again for the card. :)

Response: You are welcome for the pc's - I'm VERY consistent about my swaps I do them the same every time - I include a paper inside with my user name and the swap name and then put a sticker on the outside back of the envie with the same info... I did this swap last min maybe somehow I missed my stickers 😳 SMH! I prepped like 25+ outgoing swaps that night so who knows what I was thinking lol - glad you found me, sorry for being 'that person' ;) I promise I'm 100% 98% of the time 🤣

Yes, the colors on those vintage cards are gorgeous. I'm shocked they are still so vibrant. What a find! Fonts are fun, aren't they? It was really your first swap? It's so interesting! The magazine glossies are beautiful. Are they all from one source? The insert you made for all the stickers is gorgeous. I should start thinking of making things like this. I am making some NASA/space-themed works soon for my partner. He adores the space program. His dad was an actual rocket scientist for the original moon launch!
Response: Not my first swap by far, but the Little Dipper and Big Dipper Space Swaps were the first swaps I created and hosted, and I am so happy with how they turned out! The glossies are mostly from books - I found a few amazing books at the thrift store and I have given all of the images a new life in either my journals or passing them to others to make art. Hobby Lobby has an amazing space paper pad you can get it in 12x12 or 4x6 - I think that is the paper I used to make the sticker holder. And HOW COOL that your partner's Dad was a part of such an amazing thing! My hubby and I are space Junkies - I don't know why we are just fascinated by it - he proposed to me inside of a space calendar on Christmas Eve years ago, and I got him a wedding band made of real Meteorite - we are that level of space nerd ;) I hope to do another space swap down the road, maybe in a few months or something =) See you around the swap =)

Comment: Thank you! I don't think I've ever seen a felt frame sticker before. That's fun! I also really like the cutouts of the 'crazy quilting' pattern. I've made pieces like that and started to layer embellishments on them. It's an easy project if you only do a 12x12" square at a time, which can be taken about anywhere for some quick embroidery work. I should get back to that...

Response: Oh no!! It was in perfect condition when I sent it and I even take them directly to the post office so there is no chance of them sitting in a wet mail drop box somewhere - bummer that the envelope was damaged, The swap was stuffed full of goodies - sounds like you still got some good stuff hopefully nothing fell out. =) Happy Swapping!

Response: LOL thank you - I like to always put my swap items into some kind of greeting card - I collect them from the thrift store, clearance etc. and I just use what I have for any given swap - I don't' even really look at what kind of card. I also always try to use a post-it to put my memo in the card so the receiver can reuse the card =) Glad you liked all of the goodies - wishing you a Happy New Year as well!
