Response: Tell me if you are going and I might meet you there. I love Fiji.

Response: It was strange just having you and I in the swap. I hope that more people join next time. You organize great swaps.

Response: The postcards were an extra special gift, just for you!!!
Response: The bears are Syrian Bears, a subspecies of the Eurasian Brown Bear. They are light in colour, sort of honey-coloured.
There are many more zoo postcards just for you.
Response: I must have been thinking about something else when I chose the penny for you. I was going to send it to someone on the west coast. I will have to study my US geography some more.
Response: Tyco is actually a dog. At the Planetarium he is in a cartoon and he takes the children on a trip to the moon.
Response: I'm glad that you liked the card. It was hard to pick one for a fellow Aussie.

Response: I am glad that you liked them. I enjoyed selecting them for you.
Response: I have had a zoo membership for nearly 20 years and have done lots of "Behind the Scenes" tours. It means that you get to see the animals really close and sometimes get to feed and pat them.

Response: I post my mail in a mailbox outside my local corner store. I wonder if they are hand sorted at the regional mailcentre because the machine can't read my handwriting. A few people have noticed the lack of cancellation. It's great when it happens to my incoming mail. I can reuse the stamps.
Response: I live in on the edge of the north-east suburbs of Melbourne.

Response: I'm glad that you liked it. If you would like some more zoo pennies send me a PM and we can organise a swap.
Response: I posted another card to you yesterday.
Response: I'm glad that you liked the platypus. There would be some children in Australia who would not know what it was. They are difficult to see in the wild and even in the zoo they are in the nocturnal area so it's hard to see them in the darkened enclosure.
Response: Thanks for the heart. I tried very hard to send you a postcard that you would not have seen before.
Response: I'm glad that you enjoyed the story. It was funny at the time. I have also had to stop for ducks which wander along the road near our house.

Response: I can't believe that you have received it already. 5 days from Australia to Sweden. Efficient postal services. It certainly was QUICK.
Response: I am glad that you liked the postcard. My mother was a small girl during WW2 and she remembers the American Service Men who used to give her and her friends lollies.
I will contact you privately about exchanging postcards.
Response: I have never seen it from the air, except on film. The view from the top is spectacular and well worth the climb.
Response: I am glad that you enjoyed the scenic selection of postcards. I have traveled extensively around Australia by car with my family. I love every corner of Australia although it can be scary to travel for hours and not see another car and not have mobile phone coverage for days.
Response: I am glad that you liked the koala. My mother collects stamps for charity. I will ask her to look out for the Russell Crowe stamps.
Response: Thank you for the lovely comments. I have lived in Melbourne all of my life and I am very used to the pace. I find the other cities too busy, too small or too hot. I love to visit them all but am glad when I return home, to Melbourne.
Response: I am glad that you liked the card. I hope that your family member is getting better.

Response: I am glad that you liked them.
Response: It is easier for me to buy maxicards of the sites at my local post offices than to get actual postcards.
Response: I am so glad that you received the resend, with the magnet. The original swap had a lovely handkerchief in it. I didn't want to risk losing a second swap so I included something flatter the second time.
Response: I am glad that you liked them. If we are in a swap together again I will try to send you the pennies to complete the Melbourne Zoo sets.
Response: We feel the same about visiting the US. It takes a long time to fly so we need to save up our holidays and spend a few weeks there when we go. One day I will visit the US.
Response: I am glad that you liked them. Next time I will send some from the Melbourne Zoo.
Response: Unfortunately they do not talk to us but sometimes they have a good long look at us.

Response: I am glad that you liked them. I tried to send a mixture of famous, indigenous and local artists.
Response: I am glad that you liked it. It was sad that you did not receive it before your birthday as I posted it 4 weeks ago. I hope that you had a great day.
Response: I thought that the mail may have been slower around this time of the year. It can take a week to get a letter from my cousin who lives in a rural area of Australia.
Response: I am glad that you enjoyed them. I keep a list of what I send to people to avoid sending duplicates, unless you want them.
Response: I am glad that you like them. They are not very popular in Australia yet and there are only a few tourist places that have machines at present. Most Australians would not know what they are or that people overseas collect them seriously.
Response: I am glad that you liked the postcards. I think that sunrise/sunset views can be some of the best. I think that they look very peaceful too.
Response: I have lots of ad-cards and I try to send them to people who will appreciate them.
Response: I am glad that you liked the pressed penny and the postcard. The carousel postcard was the only non-animal one that I could buy at the zoo. I will send more zoo pennies if we swap again.
Response: Most of the machines in Australia that I have seen use 100% “Blank Copper Coins†that are pre-loaded into the machine. I do have two US cents out of one of the machines at Adelaide Zoo. The machines are “Hand Crank†non-electric. You select your design, put in a $2 coin and then crank.
Response: I'm glad that you liked them. I take my boys with me to do the cranking of the penny machine. We are enjoying receiving pennies from the USA in exchange.
Response: I am so glad that you liked them. There are 13 different animal designs at the Melbourne Zoo.
Response: I'm glad that you liked them. My family have recently started collecting them so it was great that we can swap them with people overseas. We are off on a holiday interstate next week and we plan to collect pennies while we are away.
Response: I'm glad that you liked the cards. I think that the Gnomeo & Juliet cards are cute. We could do our census online which made it a lot easier.
Thanks for the comments. Catherine.
Response: I have sent you a private message.
Response: I am glad that you liked them. I tried to stick to an 'animal' theme. You said that you liked maps so I chose the map postcard to send to you. Now I need to wait for some more ratings so I can continue swapping.
