Comment: Hello Julie, many thanks for your many nice cards, esp. those from Romania. In spring 2019, I backpacked a bit in Transylvania, visiting Sibiu, Brasov (incl. Bran, Prejmer and Harman, and Sighisoara (with a long hike to Biertan and a stopover in Medias. Loved it! And I promised myself, one day, if I am fit enough again, I will make a grand tour by rail, from Iasi to Suceava, with a long stop there to visit some of the UNESCO monuments of the Bucovina; and then continue to Baia Mare, Oradea, and of course Timisoara. As for Bavaria: I think the best places to live are smaller university towns – what you need for life is in close proximity, nature is not far away, and they are quite international. For me, that’s the perfect mix. (Passau has a bit of that flair.) And great cultural events, e.g. in Nuremberg or Munich, are just a train ride away. Take care and enjoy life, Markus

I could not have a dog where I lived in Seattle, so when I moved in with my parents a few years ago to help take care of my father, I told them that the one condition I had for moving down here was that I had to be able to adopt a dog. So now I have Max, for coming up on four years. :-) I enjoyed your answers to the questions! Especially as we answered differently on almost every one! (Only two were the same, I think: the book versus movie one and the series vs. stand-alone question.) So it was fun to get a different take and learn why you chose as you did. :-) Thank you for sharing!

I was very amused by your adventures and disappointments in Amazon deal recommendations, will surely avoid those :D Justin Cronin! I read the first book years ago and am not sure if I read the second one too, I keep mixing Cronin's Passage trilogy with Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan's The Strain series which I also started back then.. I had such a nice time making it! they're my little experiments with techniques :) my teachers hated black because: black is not a color, because you can use the other colors to create edges,effects, because there's not an actual black but a mix of colors (like you know,mix all and you get gray),etc. yes, my teachers also never liked anything! neither mine nor the others! so hard to please. but now I do not have to care about them and do it in my own way. so, good for you, you create everything in your own way in school too! I had one colleague doing that (completly disregarding teacher's advices) and she was absolutely amazing! she was a bit crazy genius, a bit more misunderstood (we all are,but she was more) but a really great artist :)

Response: hi! I am glad that both my cards created such a response. I am delighted you both loved it! guess I'll make such cards again and again! they're my first though I used this technique in ATCs. still, your theme inspired me :) the substance on top is also under, I used it to attatch the images as well (image transfer techniques...or trying to at least!). There are several layers of transparent acrilycs :) they were meant to be used in acylics mix , this one to mattify it and give more texture/thickness. there is also another version that makes it more shiny, but I like it like this. Seals nicely :) I've seen such a thing in other peoples works so far and wanted to do it too, but some have such a thing that give even more texture! maybe I'll find even that as well. if you ever do such a swap again, maybe you'll let me know! I would love to do it again and again!
