Comment: Thank you for the lovely pocket letter! I enjoyed reading the letters and discovering all the goodies in the pockets. Over here, envelopes can be huge, thick, oddly shaped, you just pay for the weight and they have to fit through the mailbox slot (which is quite large and up to 3.5 cm broad). But I read that in the US there are way more rules? Well, it arrived safely anyway :D I used to journal when I was younger, but these days I put all my writing effort in fiction. Usually when I am writing about myself I start to think things like "omg, get over yourself!" haha. I will answer your mail tag in a letter!

Comment: Thanks! I really enjoyed the interview - it was a great format too - casual, but still with instructional elements. I hadn't heard of either of the authors before - but I would say I am more similar to Kelley Armstrong because I am hopeless at setting and description too (I don't like reading big chunks of it either!). I have to say, my own writing has taken a big backseat lately - with a 5yo at school and a 1yo at home, I am now studying for my Masters and my husband does shift work just to make routine nice and unmanageable :) - my highest priority after those things is my writing - but those things take every spare second of my life (and energy and brain power!). However, the work is happening in my head - I am getting to know some of my protagonists really well, if only in my mind :D

But I do love my library - it has so much more than books in it (as you say!). My favourite library is the main downtown Vancouver, BC library. It's new and it looks like a Roman coliseum! This month they are the central location for an event called "Word on the Street" where they close off all the streets around the library for a book/magazine & reader's fair. I'm participating (for the 2nd year) in the zine part of the event, called Word Under the Street (we're in one of the lower reading rooms) where a friend and I will sell our zines, as well as trade with and buy other zine makers' wares. So excited - now I must get busy making zines!!!!

I am stunned, overwhelmed, in tears and wondering, "have you been peeking in my windows and rummaging around in my stuff when I am at work?" Snow White and Rose Red is my favourite fairy tale. I love Peter Rabbit and Mary Engelbriet. My Nan always sent me Cadbury Bars, the fact that you looked for Callard and Bowser toffee amazes me, unfortunately they don't make it anymore. You sent two Rocky Roads, two Smarties and two Peter Rabbit pads so I was able to share with my daughter Maya who was thrilled. I love the quote and bookmark. I have a "thing" for pen and ink drawings of leaves. And Tazo Chai is my special occasion tea because it is hard to get up here. Right now I feel very happy and blessed that you got me as your swap partner. Hopefully someday I will be able to return in some small portion what you have made me feel today. I repeat...
