Response: Glad you liked it! And yes I sold a few paperbacks, I've learned to just take in 4-5 at a time, because if I take more I seem to get the same offer for a small stack or a large stack of the popular titles. I made enough to pick up a couple of Pomegranate postcard books they had on remainder.

Funny how I received it back again in this new form. :) You may be amused that I read the swap name (on your PC) as "K3PC INTL" and I was scratching my head over it, looking for the "#7" rather than anything starting with K. Then I realised it was "I <3" just squashed up close. I did smile. ;) Also, "hideous Xmas papa" = Father Christmas = Santa Claus? But a Xmas badger? Oh, I'm so confused!

Response: I'm glad you noticed and appreciated it. I saved up about 40 postcards to mail that day and went to the local air mail center at the MSP airport PO to get them hand canceled. As it was a US Holiday it was the only PO in the region open.

Comment: Awwww, what a beautiful dog on this postcard! So snowy white. Is he from the postcard book you found? Loved reading about your week. What kind of cross-stitch were you doing that took 20 years to finish?? Apple crisp sounds good - I'm making that tomorrow. :)
Response: Yes it was from that book, a great find! The x stitch was a large group of flowers a ou 8x10 inches, lots of backstitching. I did about half and put it away yrs ago. I resurfaced and a backstitched for days to finish it off, looks pretty good. Now I'm working on an ornament kit I should finish by Xmas. Cheers

Comment: Beautiful card! I wouldn't have thought G for galaxy! Was a unexpected surprise :) Bright enough that you can walk around without a flash light? That is bright! I can do that sometimes here too but only if it's in a clear area lol. I'm jealous that you get to see the Aurora lights!

Comment: What a great barns postcard & perfect for your comments on your Minnesota State Fair! Haven't been to a State Fair since I was in high school in Michigan (where oddly the State Fair was in Detroit... nothing evokes the image of farms and prize winning produce/farm animals like the Motor City, right?) Actually saw Tom Jones perform there then! Your descriptive "food-on-a-stick" narrative made me laugh out loud! What no deep fried butter or kool-aid? Who dreams up this stuff? Thanks for the great State Fair experiences!

Comment: Go Bruins! I just finished watching their awesome win in game 7...my brother and sister-in-law live just north of Boston, have season's tickets (yikes!), and were there. He texted me some pictures of them outside the Garden standing amongst all the playoff signs. Cool. Anyways, thanks for the Minnesota map card. I did not have one.
On to the Stanley Cup!
Response: Yes! This is the first news of the game I have. I had to leave for work at the end of the second period. Nice to know a proper hockey town will win the cup. I'm torn though, I have Wild season tix and like the idea of a team from the western conference winning, but seriously the knuckleheads. not a fan of the east, but it is a USA team. So I want a seven game series to enjoy. Cheers

Comment: Huge bonus points for sending me Sue, the coolest dinosaur I have ever met. I literally screamed "SUUUUUE!!!!!" when I opened my mailbox. I was SO excited. I have seen Sue twice, on each trip I've made to Chicago, and I completely love her. The Field Museum is hands-down the coolest place I have ever ever been to. I could spend days in there. Thank you, thank you for sending me Sue!
Response: I am delighted you love Sue as much as I do. I always sketch Sue when I go to Chicago. I go down there on 'sketch-out' vacations. The Field is my favorite spot. Cheers and thanks for the heart.

Comment: I have a garden too. I am waiting until April 15 to put my tomato plants in the ground. After April 15 all our chances of frost is very small, so that is my planting time. In fact this weekend we had temp. in the area of 70 degrees or better. Thanks for the card and note.
