About Me

Hi--I'm a very crazy-fun Nannie of two grandsons--live in an old heritage house in our downtown core with one 'silver-fox' husband (45 years and we STILL have our arms and legs!),one now skinnier but cute dog and full window boxes of geraniums in summer! I love watercolor mediums(pencils and liquid) and also making cards.. My other passion is quilting in between all the other stuff--cooking, reading........I am retired but do some consulting/contract work for School Region(s), Community and Government agencies, media......I am Christian(Christian & Missionary Alliance) and currently teach in our Women's Ministry group. We are Swiss-Canadian(yes..we DO have chocolate) and travel a fair bit. Our last big trips were in Egypt, Turkey and Greece and of course, Switzerland.. Wouldn't you know it--no sooner than we leave and sparks fly!

The Rest of the Stuff!

I have many friends in different age groups and love seeing the world through other's eyes!I LOVE cooking and baking--and can never get enough scraps for quillting--blue is my favorite colour I have a new kitten....AUGUST 15th.......I am a magazine-aholic and will even read the phone book if I'm desperate! My favorite place I went to last year was Sisters,Oregon for the Sisters Quilt Show--was fabulous and travelled with a bunch of 'gals' from the southern States......y'all!

About Me

Everyday I take my dog, Bobbi for a run at the river(we live at the crossroads of a famous Explorer's river). I LOVE coffee(and the closer to jet fuel the better!) and the Globe and Mail. Really love South Asian foods and vegetarian---actually I love Middle Eastern too...actually......Mediterranean too...roasting my own spices....I do NOT like tea(s)...I have been known as an advocate in our community for poverty, women's rights(childcare, equal pay,choice) and healthcare.

Response: Thank you very much! I was really worried about a threatened mail strike! The wildflowers were painted in a famous Park, Well Grey--and were EVERYWHERE!!! Also bears!!!! Mama bears, baby bears, black bears.......you wouldn't have WANTED to go "...into the woods today for the Teddy Bears' Picnic.."!!!
