Response: Actually, we're nearly frozen and have 3 inches of snow, but it could have been worse. We could have had the nearly foot that Va. Beach got. Or we could have gridlock like Atlanta. Apparently they learned nothing from our little escapade 9 years ago.

Comment: Thanks for the great seashell card! You can however keep all the Brunswick Stew to yourself - unless it is made different than what I tasted here from a local bbq place. Maybe some nice vegetable beef barley soup in its place. :)
Response: BBQ joints rarely have edible stew. You need to find a fire department that is doing a stew as a fundraiser. Or find a fall festival somewhere. Yummm!

Comment: Thanks for the pretty Juneau card. I couldn't live in Alaska either. I spent five weeks there during the summer of 2004, and even then the mornings were too cold (37-40 degrees). My boyfriend was born in Alaska, but left whenhe was about two.

We had a lilac bush near my childhood home, and my parents never did anything to tend it. I guess we were lucky that it bloomed. LOL.

If you do plan to visit parks we are two miles from a Stones River Battleground. Write ahead and we'll do coffee or do part of the tour there's the big easy to find main park. And little areas with a radius that require a short drive 2-3 miles different directions.

Comment: Thanks for the card! Stayed up last night watching the US vs. Mexico ball game. The Brewers had Ryan Braun and Yovanni Gallardo in the game. Tomorrow we're going to Milwaukee to pick up our tickets for 2 baseball games in April. I love the dome in Milwaukee--you never get rained out. We've also got a team 30 miles north of here--Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.

I noticed the postcard was stamped with a Raleigh cancellation stamp! I used to live in Raleigh & I was born in Fort Bragg, Fayetteville. I sure do miss it there a lot.
