Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed the postcard I made for you! The background is tissue paper. Simply wad it up and then smooth it out a bit. Adhere it to the chipboard with spray adhesive--easy, fun texture is the result!

I think it is so clever your travel card is a map of Australia, with an Australian stamp! Ha! Your vacation in WA sounds great, it is really beautiful up there. Have a great day! :-)

It was actually a little frustrating to make--I hadn't realized that I wouldn't be able to actually see anything I was drawing until after applying the watercolors! Response: I'm so glad it finally arrived and that you like it! I have made that type of card by hand before, but I got a Silhouette for Christmas so I used that. I used the template from mini eco and converted it to a cut file. Have fun with your Cricut!!

Comment: Lisa, this swap is so special to me for so many reasons. First, it was waiting on me today at my parent's house, on a really difficult day. Second, I saw anemones on a Pinterest page a few days ago and thought they were so pretty. And I asked my mom to draw some for me. And to see them on your Atc was just....I don't have the right word for it. Maybe uplifting? Its funny how little things mean so much in times of hardships, and your ATC fits that bill for me. Response: Thanks so much for swapping! My favorite way to do matchboxes is to alter an actual 32 count matchbox--that's why it is strong. I get them at the dollar store, but grocery stores and stores like Wal-Mart have them as well.

The only thing i knew was that it was a pitty i could give only 1 heart ! I put it on the table to enjoy the thrill of taking the little thingies out of their beautiful package. Did you use gesso or something like it to fade out the background? And the notepad made with a recycled pig flash card is absolutely grand. Thank you very very much for sharing your skills with me.
Response: Yay, I'm so glad you like it! I just used acrylic paint to fade out the background on the card. I think I used off-white with a tiny bit of blue. I had never done that before because I only recently read that if you use a thin coat of acrylic paint it is transparent. Thanks so much for your kind words :)
