Comment: Thanks for the fun mail! I love the postage stamps you used. (where do you get the older, unused postage stamps?) I love mailboxes, especially the British red, round mailbox so I was thrilled with the mailing label you used and that you included one inside for me!
Response: I'm glad you liked everything! Those British mail boxes are my favorites too. I got the stamps from Errol Murphy (do an Internet search for "Errol Murphy stamps"). I've purchased stamps from him many times, they are awesome, he only charges for shipping and the stamps are face value. You can ask for a verity or different themes (nature, historical, Christmas...) they are so much fun.

Response: Glad you liked them! They stopped putting people there in 1899, so part of it- in the back- is more like woods with headstones randomly placed. It's one of my favorite places to wander around in town.

Yours is a great example of how cleverly you can layer images and create a wonderfully balanced composition, but I have to admit I miss the texture & hands on feel of cut & paste. I'm hopelessly analog and gotta work on being awesomer!

I used an app called realbokeh and then the font was an app called over. I hope you try 'em out, it it some serious fun transforming pictures. I love the ocean so much and have a collection of sand, shells, and other things like that from around the world - it's just so wonderful to get actual little pieces of the earth from somewhere else! My boyfriend and I have actually been talking about visiting Vieques so it's even more perfect. :) I'm going to put all the the shells in their own special jar to display in my house. Comment: Hello Liz, I like how you chose to tie together the air element and the Hot Air Balloon Festival we have each year in Albuquerque each October. I have attended the festival both as a spectator and on a chase crew. Both were very different experiences. The festival is very definitely worth coming to see as aa spectator. Comment: The hot air balloons are fantastic! It's too bad the one in the middle got smudged by the post office. Unfortunately I've never been up in the Angkor balloon, but it certainly does provide a great view.

Response: I'm glad you liked it- I saw you like peacocks, drew it and used watercolors to paint it in. Then glued a map reference on the back and laminated the whole thing. I'd never drawn a peacock before, but it might not be the last time, it was fun!

Response: I'm so glad you liked them- yes the stamp and airmail sticker envelopes are from my collection, I scanned them and printed them out. It's a way to "use" them without using them up.

Every now and then, my mum used to buy a whole chunk of butcher's paper from our local butcher back in the day. She had 3 daughters who were mad little artists. (These days she has 5.) I think she used to give him 20c - 50c for it. :)

I saw where you're using Golden gel now--maybe not enough? Don't ask me--I use an Oxyron sticker machine. =shrug= =smile=

Comment: Thank you for the sweet collaged postcard...yes, to find a skull on anything is unexpected. Concerning glue issues, have you tried Golden Gel Mediums yet? They are great, a little expensive, but go a long way...and you can use them for creating great transfers and once dry are water proof.

Comment: Thanks for the nice rosy postcard. Unfortunately part of the central strip (rose photo) had folded back on itself & gotten mangled. It would've been better if you'd used the double-sided tape on *all* edges of that photo: things can't be too secure when they're goin' in the mail.

Response: Ha! I know right? A friend figured out the calories ( she owns a coffee shop and loved the recipe so much has to make them for her costomers so needs to know stuff like that) and it's like a thousand per brownie. Yikes! Even though I know that I make these every couple of months- I can't resist! After you try these all other brownies don't measure up. I really hope you make them and love them as much as I do. Comment: Wow! A menu from the restaurant owner -- and a highly diverse one at that! Thai and pizza is a unique combination, for sure. We used to have a restaurant here called "Taco Seoul" -- and yes, they served tacos and Korean fast food! If we are ever in PR we will have to visit !
Response: Yep- thai and pizza, only not on the same nights- it's only my husband and I in the kitchen and we get way too busy to do it all! LOL. Please do visit, one of my favorite things is showing someone new around our beautiful island. Liz

Comment: Love the postcard of The Caribbean Liz. My daughter spend Christmas with her new father-in-law on Long Island in the Bahamas and just loved it. She's moving to Germany to join her husband in June and gets to fly the 3 cats over. Yikes!
