And the strange "vintage" map appeals to both my love of maps and my sense of the absurd! The quote is definitely absurd! And another national park I'd never heard of. Who knew there was a Congaree Nat'l Park? Now I want to go there for the firefly festival. Thanks for so many delightful cards.

I especially love that magnificent cave dragon.The Campobello card resonated as I've visited the island and walked to that lighthouse -- which you can only do at low tide, climbing up and down several ladders secured to the cliffs. and clamboring over slippery rocks. When the tide cames back in it reaches over 20 feet. A great adventure.

Response: Hahaha, oh my goodness, the others must have fallen off after they got through my local post office!! No way! And I'm using good glue, too. That's what I get for living somewhere that's 100+ degrees in October... sigh. I'm glad they made it!

Comment: Definitely very purple!!! I had the same thing: picked a pc of a sunset from my stash when I joined this swap and when the the came came to send it out I wondered whether it was purple enough! It was more of a lilac haze over everything. Silly to stress over these things 😘 Thank you!

The worst is the Buffalo Bill which is my favorite. But we adapt and overcome. I think I can just round the corners with my special punch before I mail them. Edit: Thank you for offering but you fulfilled the swap and I rounded the corners so they're good :)

Comment: No joke I’ve seen a tapeworm in person! A patient brought one in a ziplock (part of one). The doctor I worked for was so excited 😆 I guess it is rare to see one. I don’t ever need to see one again. Thankfully they are treatable!! Snails and urchins are way cuter!! lol

Comment: My first time seeing the California Redwood Forest, I believe I was 13. My second time, I was 16. That has been many, many, MANY years ago. lol I would absolutely love to do it again with my BFFs. We keep talking about it, but never get it accomplished. When I went the first time, we visited a place you could drive through a tree, but not the same one as on your card. There was no way we could have fit through the tree. I think only a small car could. Thank you for the trip down memory lane and for the postcard.

Comment: Funny that you chose Park City. It is about 2 hours away. I do envy your winters, but I do not like summer heat. I think I'd rather be cold than too hot. I can find a coat or blanket. It's kind of difficult to take layers off in public when you are only wearing one. Thank you for the postcard.

Comment: Joan, I loved the envelope! It's amazing how intriguing brown kraft paper looks when it gets a little artistic touch added to it! That washi tape IS perfect for it! The 5x7 photograph is begging for a caption - and I'm toying with several in my head. 🤭 You chose such unique items to send for this swap. 'Tube City Beer' reminded me of the 'Falls City Beer' that my Dad drank when I was a little girl. I'm fascinated with the Chinese "ent. fee to house of kan?????" such a cool and curious item! And the little flower piece with the hand and the tag that says Peace and Love -any idea what that may have originally been on? I love everything you sent; thanks so much for a special swap!!
Response: I'm so glad you liked everything!! The flowers were from a very old (Victorian-era) set of pieces that someone had cut out for decoupage and just saved in an old, old box that I bought at a stamp, postcard and ephemera shop in Spokane, WA, earlier this year. I have tons of them, some so fragile I can't really do anything with them but some like those that are in decent shape still. I'm so excited to share them!

My brother in law and his wife recently moved to Goodyear Arizona from California and they want us to make our way there sometime soon. It looks like a beautiful place and they are loving being there. It will be a winter trip because I would never be able to deal with the heat you have there. Too hot! Happy swapping! 😃

If you have never read about those "delightfully dressed cats" and their artist, Eugen Hartung, you might look him up - he doesn't get a lot of credit for them but they're so cool, I think! Response: Hello! I'm impressed, that card got to you a lot faster than I expected it might! And yes, it's a tiny little printer (inkjet) - We R Memory Keepers Printmaker. You use an app on your phone to design what you're going to print (which includes being able to import images from your photo library, which is where my mail penguin, designed by my wife, came from!) I adore that thing. LOL.

Thanks for your long explanations, I am happy to read how you came to your ideas, so no worries that it is a lot. The spa place looks great, these are really popular here and across Europe a cure holiday to relax. I need one of those! I like the little ciao penguin, we say it in Germany for goodbye (I think some places also say it for hello too), look up "Ciao Bella Originale" in youtube. It's a fun Italian song. Nice to get bursts of creativity, I <3 Swap-Bot for that.

Also, I love how you repurposed your acrylic painting that didn’t come out how you were hoping and used in another project! Comment: Nice page! I like the banana and passionfruit stickers. The colours are nice too. I also did a class in Improv and we played the yes and game. My teacher at the end said I was too much inside my head (so I didn't enrol in the second class and yes, was very much upset). Great comedy style.. Back to the page: I like the reoccuring themes with the envelope and the almanac, that'll be nice to look back on to see the theme over the year. I'm doing a black theme. These make me happy :)

The page all matches coherently - well done! I love the almanac, it’s a pity the big one online is USA based info, though I still like to look at it, I’d love to find one for Germany. Nice that it also existed in Slovenia, that gives me hope to find one here.
